2014/15 FA Cup Thread
The 1st round proper is this weekend so now is the time to create this thread. Yesterday's first game has already created a huge upset after Warrington Town (8th tier) beat Exeter City (League Two) 1-0.

You know a competition is worth avoiding when Weather posts about it.

Re: 2014/15 FA Cup Thread
Hardly just us
Arsenal got Hull reserves for the second tie in a row, in London for the eighth game in a row, now they've got Brighton
Chelsea got Watford and now Millwall or Bradford
City got Sheffield now they've got Middlesbrough
We got Yeovil and a football club I didn't even know existed.
Spurs haven't had it great but they're the only ones.
An obese man has just scored against Liverpool.

I like how you're trying to dress up the Arsenal ones
Yeovil and Cambridge are miles worse than any of those teams, they have a combined league position of 150.

I don't think they'll miss him as a player but Liverpool are really going to miss that greedy traitor's set pieces. It's one area of his game that seems to be getting better with age.
Hull at home with all their available players knackered is a piece of piss for a team like Arsenal. I'm not saying our fixtures aren't easy as well but nobody's getting competitive fixtures here. Hopefully it should make the later stages more exciting.

I agree with that last part. With our current form I'll take any trophy, but winning it by beating the better sides makes it infinitely more enjoyable especially when it's the 1/4, 1/2 or final.

I have a dream of Gerrard's career in English football ending on his 35th Birthday with a heavy defeat against United and all our players kissing the camera after scoring.

Re: 2014/15 FA Cup Thread
I am excited to see Preston North End v Sheffield United because it insures a third tier team in the fifth round. Sheffield United also is in the League Cup semifinals so they have been impressive in cup competitions.
One down side is no more non league teams are around for the fourth round. Gateshed lost 7-0 to West Bromwich Albion, Blyth Spartans lost 2-3 to Birmingham City, Southport lost 1-0 to Derby County, Dover Athletic lost 0-4 to Crystal Palace, and Wrexham lost 3-1 to Stoke City.
I am sure that Cambrige United follows are excited to Manchester United play their team but I feel they would have liked it more if the draw was reversed and they really would like to go to Old Trafford and I would not be surprised if somehow the team manages to force a replay perhaps with a 0-0 score.

City, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Southampton all out-4 of the teams better than Liverpool. It's all set up for Stevie G to win the trophy in his swan song.

At least Chelsea lost in a slightly more shit way than City so they're taking the limelight off us a little bit.

Best chance we've had in the FA Cup for years and we blow it
Palace played well though apparently so fair play.

After their humiliating defeat to Arsenal they flew out to the Middle East to lie on beaches and have a mid-season friendly match against Hamburg. They didn't get back until yesterday. Cocky cunts.

Bradford City is a quality cup team and should not be taken likely, one must remember them making it to the 2013 League Cup final.

This will more than likely happen when they play the replay at Old Trafford, refer to Burton Albion in 2006 who did the same thing and lost the replay 5-0.
Looks like I quoted the wrong message oh well you know who I am replying to.
