The way Chelsea use wingers is really ineffectually in my opinion. Beyond just his goals Salah has actually been threatening constantly, I never say that at Chelsea with any of their wingers.

Besides him not getting enough playing time at Chelsea, perhaps the BPL isn't for his style. I would like to see him in La Liga someday.

Just imagine how good he would be if BRodge had gotten his hands on him instead of Chelsea.

Re: European Leagues 2014/15 thread
It was announced on 29 January 2015 that Lens' promotion from Ligue 2 at the end of the 2013–14 season has been ruled invalid, and will thus be automatically relegated to Ligue 2 for the 2015–16 season, regardless of where the team place this season. It has been confirmed by the French Football Federation that the decision of the Administrative Court of Besançon will be appealed.
I wonder why it took almost the whole season to determine that the promotion should be null and void?

Neymar was poor this game. At least we're 4 points clear now.

Messi looking like Walkessi rofl
Barça are so stupid too. leaving so many 1v1s in defence, honestly if BBC could dribble it would have been a massacre. Neymar was good imo, selfish but Walkessi and Flopiesta were useless for most of the match and Rakete was too busy grafting than crafting
there was a 5 minute stretch in the first half when Piqué was looking like prime ThiaGOAT, the chain smoker isn't as bad as I thought he would be for Barça too.
Bravo tho dat fingertip save when Piqué deflected a shot from some lame

i give him full credit, he did it in Mule League style (i.e. kick and run). about time that his antics have been exposed, looking like Krasic
Bale completed like 1 pass in the second half

His first touch is what makes him so good. It's not always particularly clean & it just never seems to go where you would expect, but he makes it work for him.

Messi wasn't in his top form, but he was still influential. Besides the assist, he turned it up in the last 15 minutes especially and created so many chances. If only Neymar was able to finish and not so selfish. It could have been like 5-1 final score.
Pique has been great this season. He scares me when he goes in for those slide tackles in the penalty area, but thankfully he gets the ball.

Pique has been great for about a year now, ignoring his shambolic WC of course.

Well they just changed that rule for this season in La Liga, last year the first tiebreaker was head-to-head points.vel wrote:tiebreaker is goal difference you fucking idiot
Since I am in such a giving point today here is last year's rule book translated in English https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.rfef.es%2Fsites%2Fdefault%2Ffiles%2Fpdf%2Fcirculares%2FRG%25201314.pdf&edit-text=

And the first champions of 2015 are ... TNS
This is what happens when you go through most of the season undefeated currently TNS are 22-6-0 with four games left. The New Saints FC have an eye on UEFA Champions League qualifying after becoming Europe's first champions of 2015, wrapping up the Welsh title with five games to spare.
The New Saints FC celebrate their ninth Welsh Premier League title
The New Saints FC have become Europe's first domestic champions of 2015 after claiming their fourth successive Welsh Premier League title under Craig Harrison with a 3-0 victory over Bala Town FC on Saturday.
Adrian Cieslewicz's first-half header and two goals after half-time from Matty Williams secured a win that leaves TNS an unassailable 20 points clear in Wales with five games to go. Harrison is urging his side to keep it up, though. With the League Cup already in the bag, the Oswestry outfit could complete Wales' first treble since Rhyl FC did it in 2003/04. His team also have an unbeaten record to maintain.
"The strapline of our team is that complacency is the enemy of success, and I truly believe that," former Middlesbrough FC defender Harrison told UEFA.com. "The whole squad deserve credit, everyone played a part. The dynamics and the variation of players that we have is the best since I have been here. We've got pace, power, experience and youth in a group of players who will dig in and put their bodies on the line.
"It's good that we still have so much to play for," added Harrison, whose side have not lost at their Park Hall home since November 2012. "It will stop the players from taking their foot off the pedal. To complete the treble and finish the season undefeated would be incredible. No team in the history of the Welsh Premier League has completed the treble and remained undefeated in the same season. It's something we want to achieve."
The most decorated team in the history of the Welsh Premier League, Harrison and his side can also start preparing for this summer's UEFA Champions League qualifying. "The Champions League campaigns we have experienced have been brilliant, and we can now look forward to the next one," said Harrison.

Yeah, I was looking for one earlier. The only source I could find is the Wikipedia article for this season in La Liga which confirms that goal difference is the second tie-breaking factor after points. It doesn't link to an external source though.

First top tier league this article is from UEFA so it also acts like a champions league preview in a sense.Sean wrote:Didnt Hearts win their league a few days ago? Unless this means first top tier league
