We all agree that 0-0 draws tend to be on the boring side so I have decided to list some top leagues based on the amount of 0-0 draws they had last year. I picked the leagues to look at without any particular criteria, in other words I looked at whatever leagues I damn well pleased. Here are the final results.

    Eredivisie 10
    Bundesliga 22
    Primeira Liga 24
    Premier League 27
    Ligue One 27
    La Liga 33
    Serie A 44

I did some copy and paste with Microsoft Word which is why I changed font here.

That is such a shame. I trust things will change next season with Tevez and RVP heading over to Italy.

I suppose no one is surprised Laughing

12 times 0-0 out of 198 games in the Danish Superliga (just counted, not so bad.) To compare though Eredivise has 306 games as well as Bundesliga. England, Spain, France and Italy each have 380, while Portugal has 240.

    Eredivise 3.2%
    Danish Superliga 6%
    Bundesliga 7.2%
    Premier League 7.1%
    La Championat (Ligue 1) 7.1%
    La Liga 8.7%
    Primeira Liga 10%
    Serie A 11.6%

Did you include the relegation (and EL) playoffs?
And do you reckon any league had a lower % than Eredivise last season?

Yeah but it's just an indication on the presumption that the majority of them are. So shut up Ahly.

On the other hand, there are matches full of goals for one team ending up being worse.

I don't think anyone was trying to point out that Serie A was more boring, but if you are interested in avoiding matches without goals its probably better to watch Bundesliga or Eredivise rather than Spanish or Italian football. Although for a thorough investigation i'd like to have the teams with most 0-0 results shamed in public, then you can just dodge those Laughing I think most peoples problem with the score 0-0 is the lack of excitement and possibly emotion that scoring or being scored against is missing.

So close GK01. Although when we look at it, A-League isn't high quality, and it looks like the same with the % i provided, it would be fair to say that most of the Eredivise teams aren't that good as well as the danish league being ranked way above what it actually is by UEFA, i suppose the weaker leagues the defenses don't quite match the attackers as well, thus having less matches without goals.

I agree. Good defensive performances are usually always underappreciated and often criticized.

    I'd rather lose 4-3 than draw 0-0.

At least it means I've got my money's worth and seen some goals

I did not look at any of the playoffs. I think some of the more poor leagues could have a lower % than the Eredivise. I thought I found a league with a lower percentage but it was not quite to be. The Andorra league had 3.75% 0-0 draw. I have now found a league with a lower percentage than the Eredivise. The IFA Premiership in Northern Ireland had 7 0-0 draws out of 228 games. That results in a final total of 3.07%.
