Henderson after the Sturridge goal Laughing

Thought Henderson was quality today. Stevie's passing was Xabi esque but still doesn't look capable of playing that holding role. Lucas and Johnson were shite though. It's become laughable how much Johnson has declined as a footballer. He reminds me of Carra in his last two years. It makes me wonder as to why Rodgers still picks him in the team. Hopefully when Moreno comes in it doesn't mean Johnson going to right back.

Love Henderson. Always great to see a scapegoat turn into an important figure in the team. Let's hope he doesn't decline like Lucas did after he went from scapegoat to important figure ...

Henderson's probably better now than Lucas ever was. Lucas has always been a pretty limited player.

Lucas' performance against Manchester City under Kenneth.  Happy Tears

His confidence and passing both seem to have gone hand-in-hand with his physical decline.

Still think Sterling is going to be the next talisman for us, but this is impressive:

    OptaJoe ‏@OptaJoe 10h
136.2 - Daniel Sturridge has a better Premier League mins-per-goal rate than Luis Suarez ( 138.8 ). Crucial.

Think that includes his time at City/Chelsea/Bolton too.

is that the same Barca that claimed they only paid £48.6m for Neymar when it was actually £71m?

The picture you posted is probably a good reflection of how you must have felt when United were defeated by Swansea at home, under the genius of LVG.

Not really, it's not like I predicted we would win every match this season or anything. I was a bit disappointed, but sometimes weird results happen, that's football. Confidently proclaiming that a transfer fee is what you say it is because the selling club have leaked it to placate their fans and contradicting me when I tell you what's going on, only to see my version of it confirmed by people who would know, is a bit more embarrassing.

Lol, that's not what you claimed either.  You said that Barcelona wouldn't release contradictory figures because exaggerated fees would help in the election.

RAWK forumites aggressively debating whether we should bring in Falcao on loan, or sign Balotelli.

Do they not realise that we're not going to sign either of them?

Balotelli at least seems realistic and represents another (although by far the most extreme) case of Rodgers' policy of going for unloved, misguided, and slightly troubled inner-city youths.

The entire premise of the Falcao deal seems ridiculous-what is the most a club has paid for a loan fee?  12m is the figure being touted for Falcao, on top of his 200,000 euros/pounds in weekly pocket money.  I know that he is a great player, but the nature of his injury + the word on the grapevine about his age would probably make most clubs who can't hemorrhage money a bit nervous.

The situation with Liverpool & Balotelli has moved on in the last 12 hours or so. An initial loan inquiry has led to talks with AC Milan.

    Tony Barrett ‏@TonyBarretTimes 1m
Now it appears a permanent deal could be on the table. Talks are ongoing but still at an early stage.

I reckon he would be quite good at Liverpool. It is kind of funny though if as soon as you get rid of Suarez you bring in someone like Balotelli

#LFC still pushing for Falcao loan & a permanent deal for Mario Balotelli. No one can accuse Brendan Rodgers of lacking ambition this summer

If we get Balotelli, though rofl
