If Aubemeyangwhatsit is going for 8 million, might as well dip a toe in. I don't see why they would set it that low though.

Says the Daily Mail, in an article that makes reference of it in one sentence. Must be true, I mean they correctly predicted you'd sign FabregasScott_LFC wrote:Barcelona in for Lovren now. Tells you all you need to know

Also we're in for "wonderkid" Dele Alli from my local team, who I've seen play a couple of times. Can't see where he's got the "wonderkid" tag from, as he didn't look that good when I saw him, but the friend I went to the games with is adamant that I went on his "bad days". Riiight.

He's probably not as good in real life as he is in FIFA.

2 consecutive 1-in-2 seasons across two leagues is decent, but not what you expect from the FIFA GOAT.

IRL greatness would just be a bonus.
Got the nerves when I typed playmaker into the address bar, worried it wasn't kicking anymore.

hey scouser dave what you think of possibility signing lallana for nearly 30 million vs fabregas for same price just honest question curious about what you think
everytime i see lallana play he look pretty average i see player like him play for many teams in italy or spain in midtable infact suso is probably better than him

Don't agree with the price or possibility of the move. Think the money could be spent better elsewhere. Fabregas would have wanted a lot in wages. Something I don't think we would have been willing to give him.

Doesn't really matter now we've got Sanchez coming for the same price.

Happy Birthday, Henderson
Kit looks quite nice there, something I'd expect to see Bayern wear.

What? It looks similar to a Bayern kit in some respects.
It also looks like Middlesborough kit.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
I pray that we don't sign Shaqiri. Especially for around £20 million. He is nothing special. There is a reason why he doesn't get any games for Bayern Munich. Shaqiri made a name for himself at Basel - you know who else did that? Salah. I hope, if we do get him, I'm proved wrong. However I'm the type of person to get excited for whoever we're linked with, but I cannot get excited for Shaqiri. I personally don't want him. Each to their own though, obviously if we do sign him I will support him and hope he does well
As for Lovren, I find it remarkable the amount of people that do not want him! He is by far better than our current centre backs. I hope there aren't any Daniel Agger loveboys like I find on Twitter, who even have the audacity to claim Agger is better than Lovren. I think next season Rodgers will play Skrtel and Lovren together, and this may be an unpopular opinion but I would be happy with that. I'm going against the majority but from a DEFENDING point of view, Skrtel is a good defender. All he lacks is a leader and organizer - Lovren. Hence Skrtel plays well with Agger, but unfortunately for him, Agger is a good leader but not a good defender. Moreover I find a lot of people use the "ball given away in own half" argument against Lovren, however it is a fact that Daniel Agger made much more errors than him last season. I am not basing all of this of these stats, but they improve my confidence:
https://2img.net/h/oi59.tinypic.com/242yij6.png (the image does not want to seem to appear)
As for a left back, I would be very happy with, in order of happiness: 1) Ricardo Rodriguez, 2) Alberto Moreno, 3) Rojo. However I would be happy with any of them, although unfortunately Rodriguez looks unlikely.
I am very disappointed that we have not been strongly linked with a right back.
I would also be very annoyed if we let Suso go. Alexis and Pedro are mouthwatering links however I literally have 0 hope for any player of that reputation this transfer window. I hope I'm wrong, but I think the only attacking player we will sign is one of Lallana - my preference - or Shaqiri. Nonetheless I would be made up with Markovic, and absolutely love if we somehow signed Firmino.
I'm quite annoyed with the fixture list. We have a very tough start and we only had a tough start two years ago. Stoke away in the last game is also uneasy. However we have a much better Christmas period which could benefit us.
Apologies for such a long post, I just wanted somewhere to place all of my opinions

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Why did you quote that? He doesn't get many games because he isn't good enough. And I know Bayern are the European Champions, there are many people in the Liverpool team that wouldn't get any games for Bayern too. But I am just pessimistic that he won't be good enough for us either. And for around £20 million too. I just don't understand why Liverpool fans overhype him so much on social networking sites. He's one of those players that needs about 50 attempts to finally do something brilliant. And his previous match certainly did nothing to change my opinion either.
As I have said it is just my opinion and I may be wrong and I hope that I am proved wrong. I was not intending to imply that we are anywhere near Bayern Munich in terms of ability, sorry about the wording.

He posted a pic of Robben and Ribery. They are the main reasons Shaqiri isn't getting games. Not many players would get in the team ahead of Robben and Ribery.

Wouldn't mind us signing Shaqiri . Especially if it means we aren't wasting £30M on Lallana.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
I think you have it reversed with Agger, I think he's an okay defender (bar set pieces) but he never seemed to communicate very well, that's probably why he only played well with Toure last season, someone who, despite 100 limitations, at least talked to his teammates.samiz wrote:As for Lovren, I find it remarkable the amount of people that do not want him! I hope Skrtel is dropped, he was one of the main culprits last season and people only cut him slack because he scored a few important goals.
