Would reaching the QFs of the World Cup be Good for England? Empty Would reaching the QFs of the World Cup be Good for England?

I believe so. The squad will consist of good players over the age of 33, combined with a great right back, a world class midfielder, and a collection of young players ranging from poor to average in terms of ability.

Certain members of this forum believe that anything less than a semifinal appearance would be a disgrace. In my opinion, you are asking Roy Hodgson to turn water into wine if "average" is defined by making a team with Daniel Welbeck as a lynchpin into one of the top 3/4 sides in the world.

    What are your thoughts?

Well seen as I'm the only guy that's said the quarter finals of a major tournament should be the minimum expectation for England...

As it happens, Daniel, I may have been conversing with somebody over PM about England's prospects in 2014, such is the excitement after tonight's result. After I questioned his statement, he asked me to keep him nameless in this discussion. Being the gentleman that I am, I willingly obliged.

Now please, stop dragging this thread off-topic with your pathetically persistent paranoid posts dripping with arrogance.

What other terms would we be discussing? Penis length?

Ah, the classic, snarky response from Menalawyerguy. Would reaching the QFs of the World Cup be Good for England? 207657

Although this post offered nothing to the discussion and merely encourages the dragging of the topic away from its original course, I will let you off because I am currently in fits of laughter. Would reaching the QFs of the World Cup be Good for England? 207657
