They had an agreement with USA didn't they, if USA pulled out of 2018 then we'd pull out of 2022?

We've got to be pretty confident of hosting in 2018 then....

Also, I don't think you've been to Hull recently. The city centre has been redeveloped. Round the stadium is being redeveloped as we speak. We are actually spending money to make our city look like it should.

Who says that the 1M or so people around Bristol won't support their local team instead of Man U/Liverpool/Chelsea if they made it to the top flight?

Because the USA pulled out of the 2018 WC rights. Which means only European countries are left in the bid for the 2018 WC. Logically, a European country will win the rights for 2018 and a European nation can't possibly win a 2022 WC.

They have the stadiums, the country can act as a police state for a couple months guaranteeing safety, Indonesia itself is very beautiful and warm, and they have the money to build infrastructure.

Plus the I-League is growing rapidly and already has top-notch attendance figures. Wouldn't be surprising to see Indonesian clubs in Asian cup in upcoming years.
