    Brilliant stats for my players:

Robin's are sexy as fuck, if only he didn't pick up those few injuries to halt his appearances.

3 players with 20 assists, 6 players with 10 goals or more, that's what I'm talking about.

Get 2 penalties against West Ham in the first half. Van Persie scores one, smashes the other well wide then they equalise from a corner. cheers

Trying to get a hold of the facepack updates (currently downloading) and waiting to be allowed to download logo packs (wait at least 180 minutes) With torrents I'd be done by now...

Can't wait to play a Kagawa, Van Persie, Rooney trio, should be great fun. I'm wondering who to put on defensive midfield though. I'm thinking Luiz Gustavo or N'Zonzi could do a job there, but I'd rather not spend too much in my first season, as I'm totally getting Bale when I can shifty

Yes, but you do not play with a DMC who just runs around and stops attacks and makes sure that quicker players can't do anything at all. Makelele style.

My plan is to play this:

    Van Persie (p) - Rooney (CF-S)

    Kagawa (AP-A)

    Nani (W-A) --------------- Valencia (W-A)

    Whomever/Carrick (DM-A)

    Evra/Fabio (WB-S) -- Vidic (CD-D) -- Rio/Jones(CD-C) --- Rafael (WB-S)

    De Gea (GK-SK)

City just lost 3-1 at Everton. Really need to take advantage by beating Chelsea.

Every FM save I play has that type of player. Just someone to break up attacks and dominate the midfield.

Same, I find it essential in order to let them folks further up have their fun and enable me to play the way I want (fluid posession with lots of attacking). It can be done without one, but it's almost always a better idea to have that guy in the middle cleaning up the pitch. Had great success with it in FM2011 and FM2012, as well as with Stoke in this version (N'Zonzi is great). All my "great" sides from the past versions have all had "makelele" type in the DM position, who is always underpaid and always under appreciated by the media. There's no way I would have won the WC with Denmark without William Kvist cleaning up and making sure Eriksen had the space to do what he does best.

I'm really struggling to get Cavani scoring, maybe just needs to settle in first season...

Giroud is a great impact striker, he's like my Dzeko.

City lose, Stoke draw, I come from behind and beat Chelsea 2-1. Up to second, 2 points behind City. Title race ON.

In my FM save with West Ham I rotated between Beram Kayal and Jack Collison for that position. It was perfect and both of them played fantastic. Also if I wanted to park the bus I just played them both at the same time and the midfield was solid.

I have 4 good holding mids, mainly because I've had a load of injuries there this season. Yapi yapo, Gether, Toko and Cabral, then I have Kovac who is shit, old and whom I plan to sell.
