That's what I've been wondering this entire time. Why play a LM at LB and a LB at LM.

Also, that would have been atrocious if that went in.

Because Enrique is much more of a threat going forward than Downing, who's unbelievably shit.

Rather have Downing on the wing than left back up against Aaron Lennon. Especially when we have a fucking left back on the field and it's obvious Downing can't cope.

People are quickly forgetting how prone to errors Enrique is at left back. He wouldn't have done any better than Downing has so far, imo.
