It was exciting to see the title be decided on the last day of the season. EB/Streymur finished the season 17-7-3 with 51 goals for and 25 goals against.EB/Streymur held their nerve on the final day of the season, two goals from Arnbjørn Hansen helping them defeat NSÍ Runavík and clinch their second league title from ÍF Fuglafjørdur.
EB/Streymur's only previous title came in 2008
Arnbjørn Hansen scored twice as EB/Streymur held their nerve on the final day of the season to claim the Faroese First Division title for the second time.
Champions in 2008, EB/Streymur went into the last game two points ahead of ÍF Fuglafjørdur, knowing a win would secure them the crown. However, things were anything but straightforward against NSÍ Runavík – the side that inflicted their last defeat, 12 games ago – despite Hansen giving the hosts an early advantage.
Debes Danielsen (22) equalised before Klæmint Olsen missed a superb opening for NSÍ. Hansen calmed home nerves, though, restoring the lead on half-time, before Pætur Dam Jacobsen looked to have secured things by turning in a cross after the break. Jens Joensen's late goal (81) made life uncomfortable for EB/Streymur, but they held firm for a 3-2 win and the title.
Captain Egil á Bø admitted things were closer than he would have liked. "It was a bit too exciting," he said. "I wish it had been less so. NSÍ could have been in front because they wasted two glorious opportunities, but we have fine forwards who can get us goals."
As it turned out, a draw would have been good enough for EB/Streymur as Fuglafjørður were held 0-0 by HB Tórshavn, but having lost just three league games all season, coach Heðin Askham was adamant his side deserved the title."We might not have the biggest squad, but player by player we have the best team in the Faroe Islands." The league title eases the pain of the penalty shoot-out defeat the club suffered in the Faroese Cup final against Víkingur six weeks ago.

Fuglafjørður means "fjord of birds" in Faroese.

Do EB/Streymur still have that Sudanese striker? Can't think of his name right now.

Nope, with the exception of one Romanian the team is 100% domestically based.

They did have Alex dos Santos play for them a few years back but he is a Brazilian defender.
