Germany U21 2 :: 0 England U21

Germany picked apart England today in the U21 game. What was funny was that 6 players that could have been on that team are with the full German side right now.

Another five that are much better than most on the U21 side from today were not called up for various other reasons.

Senior call-ups and injuries forced head coach Stuart Pearce to hand six players their first starts at this level, two of them debutants.


Also 2 more goalkeeping errors, thank god for Joe Hart.

The 20 players on the German U21 side have played about 50 games so far this season for their clubs, and that is mostly due to the fact that 3 of them are regulars.

The majority of players have not played a game, or have played just one or two this season.
