Re: Learning a new language
Learn what you can now, it'll be easier when you go there because you'll be immersed in it. You'll pick it up pretty quickly.

German's pretty easy to learn, it's not a very complex language.

I want to learn Japanese, or maybe Korean. Lot of Korean and Japanese folk over here so it would be useful.

Cultural fact:
They wave like this in Germany
You should probably do it if you don't want to look out of place.

I've been to Germany before, they kind of frown at that these days..

I am the man known as Ryan
I have a cock the size of a lion
Even if a woman had a hinge
It would be too big for their minge
So I'll stick to shagging my dyson

Re: Learning a new language
It was in an old thread about poetry or something, I was just looking through some of my old posts and saw it and laughed really hard so decided to post

Re: Learning a new language
I just found it. There was a different thread with some better ones from everyone. I did one about my days at work which I was quite proud of.
I need to get back in touch with my poetic side.

Submerse yourself. For a football fan, football would be the most direct route. Follow people who tweet in German on Twitter, check German news sites everyday, etc.
Also, practice, practice, practice.

Can't see why you'd want German, it's only useful for what Switzerland and actual Germany? Despite the country being beautiful the traditional Germans are not nice at all... Bit like the French in that respect. Rosetta Stone is very good and doing stuff like Rei said helps a lot.
