We haven't had a squad good enough to compete for a good few years now, we're always a few signings short after every summer.

Unfortunately our aim is 3rd/4th every season, while maintaining a profit, anything else is just a bonus.

I don't want a loan.. I'd rather have nothing.

The season when we only signed Vermaelen I was going ballistic.

Our first XI is better then Spurs, Liverpools and Newcastles and can compete with anyone from the PL on its day, but we haven't got the depth anymore.

On top of that, we probably won't even name a striker on the bench anymore, which is stupid.

We had Chamakh on the bench last season for most of it. Wenger doesn't seen to have any faith in him anymore, didn't name him on the bench in the last game iirc, maybe not before that either, which means no striker on the bench.

Obviously if there's a problem Podolski can become a striker but still..

Only thing I worry about is not replacing Song, it's not like he knew that he was going to leave all summer, Song'd departure was apparent after Wenger did his deals, I'm sure he would have wanted to bring someone in to replace him. Maybe Coq impressed him or Wheelchair is on track for a speedy full recovery.

Players will step up, they always do. Just don't expect anything beyond a third or fourth place finish and you won't be disappointed. One of the domestic cups should be a priority this year though. We desperately need to end that trophyless run.

Then who cares about Pod, Sant, and Gir.. you act like we should just be happy we signed them and go after the title with smiles.

I didn't know "some people forgot" is the same as "some of my mates completely forgot"

And it's obvious mentioning those 3 players is suppose to make everyone 'okay' with our squad situation.
