Re: Summer Transfers Thread 2012
He's in his 30s, he's been here for 4 years where he's won 2 titles, the Carling Cup and the Club World Cup. Do you think anyone's too concerned how much he's gone for? It's not as if we were going to sell for a lot, especially seen as the only reason he wasn't a free agent this summer is because we could extend his contract by a year..dena wrote:Danny wrote:Around £4 or £5. Even at his age he's worth more than what you sold him for, not only did you overpay by you didn't get anywhere near the value out of him that would justify the price, the trophy list is nice (lets remove the CWC because.really) but besides that one great year he had he hadn't been anything special, for a club whos finances are always questioned a loss of 20m should at least be acknowledged

Of course he's worth more than £5m, but not when he had a year left on his contract.dena wrote:

And you take home more prize money for the Club World Cup than the League Cup.

Why do clubs leave it to the last day and frantically get deals done when they have 2 months to complete them?

It's all a part of the 'game' it's left until the last minute to get Sky some views. #Conspiracy.

Spurs don't have a problem with their keepers. Friedal and Cudicini are old, and Gomes is shit.
