I'm kinda glad that Torres is starting to get goals now, my hate for him has gone down.
I will always love him deep down.

They had an agreement with United and a verbal agreement with Berba, they payed for his flights etc and he never showed up. The claim other clubs "hijacked" the deal

Re: Summer Transfers Thread 2012
"ACF Fiorentina announces that it missed the acquisition of the player Dimitar Berbatov after we had reached an agreement with Manchester United & a verbal understanding with the player on his contract.
During today, the English club had granted him written permission to travel to Florence for medical & sign a contract. The player - accompanied by his agent - embarked on a flight to Florence with tickets paid for by the club.
But the player never arrived in Florence because of reckless & arrogant actions of other clubs which have nothing to do with the values of honesty, fair play & sporting ethics which lie beyond the boundaries of loyalty.
As for the player - notwithstanding his characteristics & technical merit - at this point we are happy that he did not come to Fiorentina as he is not worthy of our city, our shirt and the values it represents."

21:20 - Paul Aghemo, sent to Sky Sports, provides details on the meeting just ended in Turin between Del Piero and Sion: "The meeting with the leaders of Zion lasted just over two hours. We can say that this was an interim meeting, but at this time the option Zion is frozen. Alessandro Del Piero, Stefano Del Piero and Andrea D'Amico - an excellent relationship with Alex Del Piero and protagonist of Gattuso transfer to Swiss club - have encountered the leaders of Zion. Zion leaders, President Constantin and the ds De Gennaro have tried in every way to convince Alessandro Del Piero to accept their offer. This means, however, did not arrive because Del Piero is considering many other offers. There are four in particular: that of the Celtic, that of Sidney - former Juventus captain who has studied the role of man as the image of the whole of the Australian Football League, an ambassador, one of Sporting Braga and Tottenham track, still in its infancy. eye offering of Celtic.'m hours of reflection for Alex Del Piero. Explain why Sion have a better chance than Celtic? We are richer, have a better team, a bigger club, more fans, a bigger stadium and CL football. Sion have that mad cunt Gattuso.

Talks about a switch between Real Madrid, and Inter Milan. Lass for Maicon, although Madrid are also interested in Debuchy.
Kaka has his mind set on a winter move.
Barca once again show their interest in Llorente.
Drogba could be leaving Shenhua due to the clubs economic troubles.

Re: Summer Transfers Thread 2012
Blackburn Rovers have had a bid accepted for Huddersfield hot-shot Jordan Rhodes - having already secured the services of Diogo Rosado.
Rovers will hope to have the striker (right) on board in time for Saturday’s tough trip to Leeds United, with the player due to undergo a medical at Brockhall tommorow.
It is understood Rovers agreed a fee with Huddersfield chairman this evening to get his ‘final price’ for the 22-year-old.
It is believed the Terriers were asking £8million for Rhodes, including £3m up front and the rest spread over four years, with Rovers finally opting to match their price.
Negotiations continued last night and Rovers will today hope to conclude the deal after weeks of chasing the prolific striker.
Rovers are confident the personal terms on offer to the player will be accepted, after offering the player a lucrative package.
Meanwhile Rosado is expected to be challenging for a spot in Blackburn Rovers’ squad for the trip to Bristol City on

It's not guranteed £8m though so happy about that, if he scores the goals i won't really care about the price tag.He has agreed personal terms on a four-year deal, with a £4.5m initial fee which will rise depending on factors such as Premier League promotion.

Berba would have been class for Fiore. Their front three would have been the most skillful in Serie A (Jovetic, El Hamdaoui, Berbatov)

In other news apparently LLoris and Moutinho are close to signing with Tottenham and AVB is looking to get rid of basically everyone else including Parker, VDV, Lennon, Dawson, etc.
Not sure how long its gonna take all these new guys to gel but a midfield trio of Sandro, Dembele, and Moutinho is pretty fuckin legit

Great signings, obviously. With Lloris though you will be quite susceptible on set pieces.
