Re: Football at the 2012 Olympics
Mexico missed two clear chances before the golazo. Typical Mexico to be honest. Got flashbacks of past world cups.

The one where they literally tried to walk the ball into the back of the net was funny.

Re: Football at the 2012 Olympics
Not for me.
But yeah, what the fuck man, dudes need to take lessons from Marco Fabian. When in doubt just smash it as hard as you can. Seems to be working for him.
Out of the last three games, Marc Fabian has been the only player to score for Mexico.
He has a ridiculous record for the u-23 by the way. Not sure but I think he might have as many goals scored as games played. Impressive for an attacking midfielder.

Still plenty of time for the Mexican team to sort that out for the Olympics. Generally looking pretty good on the field.

Not sure why but the United fans and then the shirtless English looking guy celebrating with the Mexican fans in this video made me laugh.

Women's games start tomorrow. Six matches in all.
All displayed times are EST.
Going to see if I can catch the first half of USA x France.

Rafael will miss the Olympics due to an elbow injury during practice.

Re: Football at the 2012 Olympics
USA v France should be good, many players from Lyon who is the top team of Europe.
Its odd to look at the USA team with so many players that don't even have a club currently as their womens league broke down, leagues not having affiliation with a official/semi-official body are a shaky thing it seems.
Also Hope Solo and Alex Morgan.

We've been battering New Zealand all game. So unlucky to have only scored once.

I only saw the first half but there is no way GB could even batter a fish.

For long periods we were dominating. Battering was probably the wrong word.Pico wrote:Harrold wrote:We've been battering New Zealand all game. So unlucky to have only scored once.
