Ireland lost by the same scoreline so we did just as good as Italy.

It would have most likely stayed at 2-0 if Prandelli hadn't decided to bring on Motta.

Even after all that, delusion is maintained.

Trying to overcome a two goal deficit with ten men against the best team in the world, is an easy task apparently.

Yeah, Italy beat Spain in a friendly as well about eleven months ago, it doesn't mean shit.

He might be referring to Chelsea against Barcelona, not sure though.Juventino. wrote:Chris wrote:

Chris is saying that England wouldn't have lost by as many, which apparently means England would put up a better fight. Losing by 1 or 2 and not putting up much of a fight offensively is not putting up a fight at all whereas Italy actually had the intent to have a go at Spain.
Guest- Guest
Of course they would have, Spain would have struggled to score v England.

Thought it was obvious myself, just a joke though.Glen Damon wrote:He might be referring to Chelsea against Barcelona, not sure though.Juventino. wrote:

I don't think England parking their plane could have put up any less of a fight than Italy. Italy were fucking useless.

Well Chris is a tool so this doesn't suprise me.

Because Italy were brilliant offensively..Theo Filippo wrote:Chris is saying that England wouldn't have lost by as many, which apparently means England would put up a better fight. Italy had more ambition than England would have had. To almost halve possession is a difficult thing to do against Spain, something England couldn't even do against Ukraine.
But perhaps England wouldn't have conceded four, that's true.

It depends if having 2 shots and 38% possession and losing 2-0 is more of a fight than having 10 shots and 49% possession and losing 4-0.

Comes off as a bit pitiful that you are trying to make a case for England based on this match. Why not say the same for Greece?

England might have got it to penalties.

England would've been trounced anyway so I don't see what the big deal is.

Italy were down to ten men and had to keep on pressing in order to try and get anything out of the match. Not to mention they had Bonucci and clueless Abate in there. What did you think was going to happen? Put England in that same position and the same would've occurred.

If England were in that position they would have classed it as a moral victory and been happy to see it out.

Since when did possession mean anything when you get fucked 4-0?ayvee1 wrote:Italy had more ambition than England would have had. To almost halve possession is a difficult thing to do against Spain, something England couldn't even do against Ukraine.
