Rooney's a better passer than Gerrard, more composed and a bit more accurate. In the Italian squad, It's a hard one, but Cassano's possibly a better passer than Gerrard along with De Rossi and Marchisio.
I can see where you're coming from though.Gerrard has been playing in a 2 man midfield and has a great pass completion rate, has been very tidy in possession, created chances and supplied our forwards despite playing in a shit system. Again stats are misleading it's 3 matches in which we have sat back close and compact he's shown that he can't control the tempo of a game for shit and that we can't get enough possession in games, there are 5-7 better passers than him that are English, that is downright average if not awful.
