LOL, were you even watching our first 2 games? Andrews was probably our best player in those games. Whelan played a lot worse, shockingly poor player at this level. Gibson should have been utilised but Trap was so adamant on remaining loyal to the team that got us to the tournament. I agree with you about McClean. It was the perfect opportunity for him to start tonight's game in place of McGeady. Trap made a lot of poor decisions but we just were not good enough to compete against the teams in our group. If we were in group A we might've had a chance at progressing, who knows.

Tomorrow will be the first England game of the tournament so far which I'll be unbanned for.
I will provide a great boost to the forum, just as Rooney will to the team

Bonucci
That was a smart move by Bonucci to be fair. Balotelli was acting like a prat for Prandelli not starting him. I don't know why he didn't start. Heard it was because his knee was bothering him. Regardless, he shut him up and I respect him for that.

Agreed. Every time Balotelli scores his team mates should just go wrestle him to the ground to prevent him from doing something stupid

I hope you guys play Spain and knock them out. Would love that. Want either England, France or Italy to win the tournament.

Re: EURO 2012 Thread
Well yeah I saw your first two games and Andrews was your most noticeable player for sure, got forward well but his shooting was poor vs Croatia and he wasn't good defensively in both games imo.jeb4eva wrote:Gegilworld93 wrote:Why did Trap insist on playing Andrews? Spain was poor tonight great goal in the end though, what a pass from Fabregas and then such unselfishness from Iniesta

Why does Fabregas never start? He set up the winning goal to win the world cup for christ sake.

Although Torres was poor today, I think he does a better job stretching the defence than you get with Fabregas

he started the first game but yeah, completely agree, he should start a lot more. He scored in the first game and made a great impact coming on as a sub in the last 2 games, surely he deserves to start?

He was far from awful. Yeah I'd say he was our best player. Dunne had a good game tonight, redeeming himself somewhat. How can you say Andrews was out of his depth though? If anyone was out of their depth it was Ward. He was absolutely woeful in all 3 games.

I think Doyle or O'Shea was our best player. I really do think Andrew was awful, tbh not one of our players look capable of performing at this level.

Jesus Christ, and I thought England had the worst injuries for this.Chiellini has muscular problem in left thigh. Italy chief doc Castellacci says 'must wait a few days' but admitted 'we are a little worried'

And against Spain. But for most of the players it was a level too far and it was always going to be a losing battle.

Doyle had a good tournament in fairness, working tirelessly, winning knockdowns and he won the free-kick which led to St Ledger's goal against Croatia. O'Shea on the other hand was pretty poor. He was at fault tonight for Balotelli's goal and gave the ball away a lot. He isn't suited to the full-back role really.

You do know that he joined Lokomotiv, right Kuled...
...right?
Just looked at his record w/ Croatia. 62 played, 40 wins. Nice shit, shame they missed the 2010 finals.
