People actually agreed with it too, i guess you cannot question the man who has managed to endure the worst Liverpool campaign of the Premier League era, all because of a Carling Cup win

Not to mention that, but even in the season in which he "saved us," he displayed complete and utter incompetence in every single European match that he attempted to manage. We got absolutely humiliated by FC Uterus, from memory. His failings have been present in his entire tenure here, many of us (myself included) were simply too late to see that.Willmer wrote:Glen Damon wrote:Oh, for crying out loud.

Agreed, he is only potrayed to be ''good'' because of his predecessor Mr Hodgson, if such a shambolic manager hadn't of been in charge before him then we wouldn't of needed to be save, sacking Rafa is still our biggest mistake, all he needed was good owners behind him. And you are right about his European record, it's like he didn't care, he is not good enough for Premier League football and no wonder he was out of the job for so long.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
I am not Rafa's biggest fan, but it is probably true that he would have done a far superior job to Kenneth simply because I feel that he is more capable of attracting decent players, ie players that can pass the ball forward without wetting themselves. At the same time, he did have some peculiar signings, and I don't think his playing style was particularly attractive, bar 2009 when he found the perfect balance in the midfield. It is a shame that Alonso left, otherwise the team had a fair bit of potential.Willmer wrote:Glen Damon wrote:Not to mention that, but even in the season in which he "saved us," he displayed complete and utter incompetence in every single European match that he attempted to manage. Steven Gerrard is our biggest problem right now. An arrogant man, as I have said repeatedly, he now offers very little to the team, unless he is used as a sub. Kenny, the buffoon that he is, generally plays Gerrard in a relatively holding role, despite the fact that Captain Fantastic has shown for years that the "best English midfielder of all time" is not capable of playing central midfield. If I recall correctly, Gerrard's return coincided with our drop in form this year.

Kenny needs to go. I wish he was a better manager. His old fashioned views do not apply to the game anymore.

The problem with getting rid of "King Kenny" is who you replace him with? Kenneth will make his successor's life impossible, as he did with his immediate predecessors, simply by making his presence and availability known, so it would have to be an excellent manager to deal with the pressure. Other than Benitez, who has already had 6 years, who would take the job?

That's the current problem at Liverpool. You have a handful of people who think that they are the football club, and they make all of their peers' jobs hell.ResurrectionRooney wrote:The problem with getting rid of "King Kenny" is who you replace him with? I honestly don't believe that he will leave this summer, unfortunately. There aren't really any suitable candidates off of the top of my head. Theo said something about Unai Emery, the only manager I had even considered, being off to Russia.

If the new manager gets off to a promising start I don't think we'll have that problem again.

How dare you accuse me of engaging in acts of masturbation, Alan! What a disgusting claim. Furthermore, just because you are large and retired, doesn't mean you can mock those of us in half decent shape by denouncing us as "little." It's called fitness. And finally, I will not die because I plan on actually working my entire life, not living off of government welfare.Alan wrote:Why are you just such a little wanker why dont you fuck off and die.
