Nothing wrong with disputing Parker's inclusion there he's been good this season but players like Kompany, Mata, Valencia and Cabaye have all somehow missed out over him.

No Carrick, Valencia, Ba, Dempsey and Kompany is quite poor. All who have been fantastic this season and quite sad seeing Scott "Great England destroyer" Parker picked ahead of them.
Evans not being nominated for young player either Been outstanding this season, especially having to replace Vidic isn't easy by no means and he's stepped up and delivered the goods. (Evans is eligible as he started the season as 23).
EDIT: Don't think the OX should be shortlisted. He's got great potential no denying that but he hasn't played 90minutes this seasons and made very few PL appearances.

Oh ok. Is it something exclusive to the Liverpool fans on this forum? I dont think I've met many Liverpool fans that dont like Scott Parker irl.

I agree that he is too, but it is debatable.

It's not debatable for me, he's the best defensive midfielder in the league, probably the best tackling midfielder too.

How many goals has Rooney got from penalties though? More than Robin I bet.Steadman wrote:He's only three goals behind Robin, and Rooney has been playing much deeper than Robin has all season.kyro7 wrote:Well he wont get the golden boot anyway.

Parker is decent but vastly over hyped by a lot of people just because he is English and clatters into people.

Young PFA award nominees:
Aguero - Winner
Bale
Sturridge
Oxlade-Chamberlain - Shouldn't be there
Welbeck - Runner up (Really stepped up this season)
Kyle Walker
Juan Mata not being in either award is laughable.

In the league Rooney has scored 6 penalties and RVP has scored 2.Chris wrote:How many goals has Rooney got from penalties though? More than Robin I bet.Steadman wrote:

Yeah after all penalties don't count as goals.

Sick of the penalty bollocks. You still have to have the composure to score them.

Anyone else finds Ahly's bitterness to Ronaldo hilarious?

Let's be honest, scoring penalties doesn't make you a good player.
Not saying that Rooney and Ronaldo aren't.

It doesn't, but it's something that some world class players aren't capable of pulling off.ConorCelticFC wrote:Let's be honest, scoring penalties doesn't make you a good player.

Obviously it's worth just as much to the team as any other goal, but when you're comparing two players' scoring records I think it's fair enough to take into account how many were penalties.
