Maloney is Wigan's best player by a mile. Anyone who says Moses is needs to think about the fact that he causes problems for defences but 90% of the time it ends in nothing. Don't get where this "not good enough for Celtic" comes from. He played for Celtic quite a lot, scored lots of goals...moved to Villa....wasn't good enough so goes back to Celtic....starts to play and score goals again.....now he is at Wigan..a team who are about the same quality of Celtic only in a better league.

Wigan play the kind of football where he will get a good chance. End of the day....playing good in a few matches doesn't mean that much, he needs to stay consistent...and if Wigan gets relegated when you wonder if he would stay in the Premier League.

Also there cannot be many worse defenders than Gary Caldwell....consistently one of the worst and wouldn't get into any other team in the league. He wouldn't start for Watford tbh.

After he came back to Celtic from Villa he never played more than 21 league games in any of his 3 seasons. Yes, he had injury problems but by the end he was nothing more than a bench player. He wasn't good enough for us so I don't know how you can say he was after we sold him for pennies because we didn't want or need him anymore. Now he is Wigan's best player.

Lux knows fuck all about Celtic so he should pipe down with stupid comments like 'wasn't good enough for Villa so goes back to Celtic....starts to play and score goals again.' His record for Villa was similar to for Celtic.

Celtic are far better than Wigan and Lux is not qualified to disagree with me because he knows nothing about our team.

Anthony Stokes couldn't get a game at Arsenal, he went to Falkirk and scored like 14 in 16... Sunderland then bought him and he scored like 2 or 3 in over 30 apperances before being loaned out to Sheffield United and Crystal Palace where he scored one whole goal. He then moves to Hibs and Celtic where he's been prolific.

All that was when he was a teenager, he's improved massively since then. Still doesn't start for us anyway.

Some people are far too obsessed with trying to argue about leagues to realise that a player playing better at a different club in a different league doesn't mean you can draw up an assumption that that league is worse.

Besides...there are many examples which suggest the exact opposite....so it doesn't even make sense.

There can be plenty more examples.. Gary Hooper's more prolific in the SPL than he was with Scunthorpe... You saying Celtic's benchwarmer = Wigan's best player when clearly Maloney isn't Wigan's best player and his performances raise because he has better players around him.
