That's because Celtic are a top SPL team whereas Scunthorpe were a relegation-battling Championship team. Obviously he was going to score more for us.
So Wigan have better players than Celtic now? Fuck off.

I dunno....at Cardiff he was one of their best players that is for sure...but he didn't stand out above everyone else.
For a lower club he would definitely be good enough for the squad. He looks older than he actually is, he left Cardiff at about 23?...So he could have improved a fair amount since then.
Looking at Norwich's signings and success...you can see that players can make the step up. I wouldn't have said that Ledley was worse than the likes of most of their team before they went up....so maybe.
I do think that some Old Firm players are good enough. But making the comparisons is hard, all things considered.

Ledley was offered a contract by Stoke and apparently Roma were interested too. Definitely good enough for the premiership, although I think all the players in our starting XI are. What does 'able to play in the premiership' actually mean? Pretty much every player in Norwich's and Wigan's team is mediocre, yet they're not embarrassing themselves.
And the Championship. The fact that we've had four players on loan to Championship clubs this season seems to elude people like Lux. The Championship takes our rejects, we take its best players. That's how it works. Could you imagine Celtic taking a player on loan from a Champonship club? It just wouldn't happen. Ledley and Commons were two of the best players in the Championship as well. Commons, a midfielder, was top scorer in the division when we bought him last January.

Both Norwich and Wigan believe in their managers and there aren't any big egos playing for either club. They're not embarrassing themselves because the players are honest, they work hard and a few of them are actually good players. In Norwich's case they've done fantastic, just like quite a few teams that had just been promoted - and that's certainly not coincidence. I think if Wigan had a goalscorer like Grant Holt they'd be in a much better position.
You take the word "reject" at face value, as if the player wasn't good enough for your team. Things might not work out for a player at a certain club but they can still go on to improve and on to better and bigger things (Charlie Adam for example). It's no surprise that a player gets better once they're faced with tougher challenges. Plus, I'm sure there are many players who play in the championship (or at that level), get a move to the premier league and then wouldn't even think of going to Celtic.
