Only thing I don't like about Italy in FM, is those damn Co-Ownership deals.

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
why? it gives italy a who new unique experience. the AI tends to co-own it a lot but i never do it
its a quick/easy risk-free way to make money, but you make so little of it you'd have to do like 10-20 co-owns a season to really generate a significant turnover. i'm too lazy for that but i don't mind when the AI does it
it's useful for second division clubs or mid table clubs in Italy as an alternative to prize money, but for top teams like Inter/Milan/Napoli/Roma/Juve, co-owning is really just a waste of time and effort because co-own profits are only a fraction of what they can make from prize money

Decided to go with a German team and propel them like Borrusia Dortmund.
Yet to decide which team, though.

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
Get in! I've qualified for the Champions League! This team hasn't competed in the CL since the 2009/2010 season!! Now that my main goal is secured and me top of the league AND in the Coppa Italia final I've got a great chance for a double in my debut season in Italy. This was my toughest challenge yet, was very difficult getting my Man United formation to work with Juve because it just wasnt working so I've lately been using 3-5-2 to have more possession in the midfield and it has worked very well. Really pleased with it. I've got Milan now in the final (the toughest team in Italy) but I held them to a goalless draw in the San Siro and thrashed them 4-0 at home (The start of of the 3-5-2 formation) so there is a chance, the title is in my hands though!

I was at Juventus, but then Valencia got taken over and I went to them. They gave me 300 million to spend.

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
Fuck this game, had 11 games in the final 28 days of the season, was competing in the europa league, cruising the PL and in the FA cup. Ending up completely bottling the PL losing to Man U and Stoke and drawing at home to newcastle right at tyhe end of the season, newcastle equalised late on with their only shot on target, which meant the premier league was no longer in my hands. Lost the FA cup to Liverpool because my Keeper suddenly decided he was mentally retarded. Beat Bilbao in the final of the europa but I couldnt give a shit about that, so angry. City and United had played 35 games each, Id played 33 and was a poinjt ahead, donty have a fucking clue how we bottled it, typical spurs.

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
Despite my Basle game being slow, i'm enjoying it too much to leave it.
My front three signed when they were 15 and 18x2 from a random egyptian club, a russian club and also from Sao Paulo. Now they are all scoring 40 goals+ a season, and my Egyptian player has been capped 43 times and he's only 21 still.
My record signing is currently £14.25 million for a 21 year old keeper who has kept 43 clean sheets in 68 league games since his move.
