Although I want Carroll to be playing, and playing Gerrard behind him would result in Suarez being on the wing, and he's ineffective there because of his awful pace, and may also mean that Adam will be playing in a more defensive role, and he can't defend.
So yeah.

Gerrard has also missed Lucas when he has been playing in central midfield. But Gerrard does not look 100% to me at times since being out for so long. And i would like to see him further up the park trying to make things happen like he did before.

Gerrard and Lucas were a poor partnership. Lucas and Spearing however, were good.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
We have hardly seen Lucas and a fit Gerrard playing for Liverpool in the central of midfield. But i would not mind to see Lucas and Spearing playing and Gerrard going further forward.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
We need an top class defensive midfielder.
One that can play with Lucas, and if Lucas is injured he can fit in, and vice versa.
And I would keep Spearing, unless he wants first team action and wants out.

Lol, towards the back end of last season? Jan-onwards? Their partnership was great.

To be honest it's probably due to us not being at Wembely together for years, digging a bit deep saying it's small time.

We should go for Jorge Jesus to replace Dalglish. Fantastic hair, and Benfica play very nice football. I'm not sure whether he would want to take such a step down, though.

Liverpool are close to completing a deal for Crewe's 16-year-old midfielder Dan Smith according to the Telegraph.
The Telegraph also says that Comolli is watching 17-year-old Feyenoord midfielder Tonny Trindade de Vilhena and Udinese's Pablo Armero.
Also The Telegraph is saying, it is likely Kuyt and Maxi will leave at the end of the season. Aurelio not getting offered a new contract.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Daniel Agger and Glen Johnson are ready to give Liverpool a timely injury fillip before next week’s FA Cup semi-final with Everton at Wembley.
The duo hope to play in one of the next two Premier League games, either against Aston Villa on Saturday or at Blackburn Rovers next Tuesday.
The pair have been sorely missed in recent weeks as Liverpool have suffered six defeats in their last seven league games.
Agger, who was probably Liverpool’s player of the year before his recent absence, has been missing with a broken rib while Johnson suffered a calf injury after the Carling Cup final.
Hopefully some good news for us before the FA Cup semi final.

Perch's comments about him not being a diver
Fair enough Reina shouldn't have done it, but to roll around on the floor, clutching your face is clear play-acting. Fucking prick.

We'll probably beat Aston Villa this weekend, but even then, it's going to be hard to be happy about it, considering where we are in the League. Except if Suarez scores 5, then I'll be happy.

It's a shame really, he's proven me wrong in recent weeks and is a much better player than some of the guys we are likely to keep.
