    Gomes is 110% to blame.

    1) There was no whistle from the referee or any indication from the assistant.
    2) The ball never went out, so it can't be a goalkick. Also, Gomes didn't put the ball on the goal area line.
    3) If it was a handball, what was Gomes doing taking the kick about 10 yards from the incident?

Anyone who blames Manchester United or the referee is pathetic.

Would have been a penalty if he went down earlier, but decided to delay it and therefore should have been a free kick for Spurs as he handled the ball. Either way I couldn't give 2 fucks Neutral

Yeah it certainly should have been a penalty, but Nani went down at least 2 seconds late which you won't get a penalty for that. He then handles the ball and the linesman or the referee should have spotted it, but they failed. United scored, Spurs sunk, hearts broken, it's a cruel game Neutral

go here and read the transfer rules thread. and to make the transfer u just simply edit your team in fifa profiles and move the players to your club if you have enough money etc. Wink oh yeah the deadline is tomorrow sometime.

well if this helps you can buy players from active clubs which is clubs that human players control (i controll Hamburg) so u would have to offer me a sum of money for players etc. or you can buy players from inactive clubs which are clubs that are not in our league and not controlled by anyone for example. Fulham. If you are buying a player from an inactive team then these are the prices.

    81+ £20m
    76-80 £10m
    71-75 £5m
    0-70 £2m

Well it wasn't a penalty because the referee didn't call it. So the referee must have thought it was either a dive, handball, or nothing. Just because someone dives or handles a ball, doesn't mean the referee must call it. There is a nice rule called "Advantage". The ball was in Gomes' hands in no time and he could have punted the ball about 15 yards further than the incident rather than give him a freekick 3 yards from the goal. The referee was right to let play go. It's not the referee's fault that Gomes put the ball down and walked back. Keep in mind that Gomes put the ball down about 10 yards from the Nani incident which doesn't make sense if he thought it should have been a foul back there.

I would like to conclude by saying your second point makes no sense whatsoever. Diving isn't punished by a freekick! A player found diving is just given a yellow card.

    Mental lapse from Gomes.

Miscommunications like these seems to be happening more often nowadays.

From the replays I have seen, I didn't see the linesman raise his flag. But does it really matter? The players are supposed to continue play until the center referee blows his whistle.
