Arsenal v Newcastle - Ben Arfa goal & Van Persie goal from Arsenal Goals on Vimeo.
Seems a bit blurry for some reason.

Didn't look before he hit it and it only reached Van persie because Colo raised his leg too far out

I think it was a good cross, I mean you can see he spots van Persie making a run before he gets near the ball then he just runs at the ball, puts his head down and crosses it. Colo didn't expect a low cross, he was preparing himself for Walcott to get it air born.
If anything, that assist would have been counted as lucky because even though he got the ball to reach van Persie, he left him with loads to do.
But such is the class of van Persie.

Walcott and RVP do that same cross all the time. This isn't anything new to them.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
Not that it matters but why was that Walcott assist rated so highly? If he got it wrong everyone would say he tried hard but was still shit, I'm pretty sure Walcott messed up like 88% of his crosses

No I'm saying the only excuse of that being lucky is that when the ball reached van Persie, 99% of the striker of the world wouldn't have been able to score that chance.

I think it's the fact it's such a nice surprise to see Walcott playing well and doing more than just running fast, being a good creative outlet and all, gives us hope that there is still chance he can pick up form and start to deliver consistently.
