Sometimes you really have to give Wenger credit, people gave him shit for years saying he needed to buy a keeper/defensive midfielder but he knew what he was doing with Szcesney and Song.

Song does that cheeky little through ball into the area all the time, doesn't he? I've noticed him do it for Robin a few times this year and I remember looking back at some Arsenal goals and a lot of them have come off that specific ball.

Ball's not that good, any other striker in Europe ends up in a blind alley there, it's the finish that's exceptional.

True, but it's still a nice ball through.

Am I the only one who thinks he wouldn't finish that again if he tried?
Was a one off for me. At least for a while.
Typical Liverpool wondergoal curse.

His goal against Everton? His goal against Charlton? He's quite good at Volleys.
Also, poor goalkeeping from Reina.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
He's done that about 5 times in his recent career. He's absolutely clinical when watching the flight of the ball and connecting sweetly enough to score. Done it against Everton about 3 seasons ago in a late 1-1 draw, Everton this season, as Sean said against Charlton, the one against you lot which is still fresh in your memories. I'm pretty sure he'll do it again this season.Scott. wrote:Am I the only one who thinks he wouldn't finish that again if he tried?

They were a bit different to this one. A lot easier compared to this one.

The one against Liverpool was probably the easiest out of the 4 mentioned.

On his chest, sent Carragher then an explosive right footed strike, face it Scott he's capable of ripping the net off the next time. Really and truly he could have smashed it like the one against Everton, but chose to give the other Merseyside team a different end of his boot.

People act like Van Persie has JUST become a good player sometimes...Jesus, hurts to imagine the possibilities of what could have happened had he been fit more often over the past years...Then again he might have just ended up leaving Arsenal

Keane's goal in the same game was better. Your argument is invalid.

It wasn't better.
RVP's touch and control was out of this world. Then there was the shot too.

He deserves fuck all credit, he tried to buy Reina to replace Szczezny, and having a defensive midfielder other than Song might have helped them actually have some success in the last 4 years.
