Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
Out of the 3 you've listed I would definitely take Giroud. The Bat-Man wrote:I just hope Campbell doesn't do a Vela, have all the potential in the world but not the right mentality to succeed with us.
I still don't know who is best for us, between Podolski, Giroud and Suarez. What do you guys think?
For me Suarez would be the biggest risk, he might not show up in the EPL. But he has done well in the EL which is promising.
He's a lethal finisher, he's got good link-up play and he's beast in the air. Also he would fit in quite well because he's French.

I'd take Podolski & Giroud. I'm not sure on that Suarez guy.

Suarez is easily the most talented out of all of them, but depends on if he can keep form

The look on Debuchy's face afterwards
For me personally I would have Podolski as my last option, his wages would be sky high and he might not show up when he's playing second fiddle to RvP, Giroud is big and strong, so he'd suit the league, but the thing that separates him from Chamakh is the fact he has a peach of a left foot and actually has attacking instincts. As my dear friend Fonseca said, Suarez is undoubtedly talented but has he ze mental strength to be a part of this team.
Let's just hope we do get a striker, I pray Fiorentina come in with money for Chamakh, if we can get £6 million as reported for him I'll carry him on my back to Italy.

Well he's still on loan from Arsenal, he said he wants to stay at Sociedad though.Novi, The Creator wrote:Splashy wrote:Calm down lads we don't need to buy another striker, Vela's got this.
He ain't coming back. He has already left.

Never a day I spend asking myself what would have happened if he had stayed.
EDIT: Okay that's an exaggeration, but every time I see him I think of all the good times he's had at the club and how I want him back.

Did you guys know that if we win all 12 games until the end of the season we have a 4% chance of winning the league.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
Ahly's unhealthy obsession with Wenger brought up a scary prospect, life after Wenger.
Wenger's going to retire, or in Ahly's fantasies, get sacked, one day but who is going to replace him. I don't want to be going through managers every second, needs to be some kind of stability.
So who is the man for the job.

I don't see a change coming in the next 5 years at LEAST. So who knows who will be around.

Wenger's contract is up in 2014 and I think he'll retire when it's up.

Depends on where the club is at that moment in time.
Can't see it happening in 2014. Too soon.

Bergkamp!
He is just picking up experience as Frank De Boer's sidekick at Ajax at the moment, rather a dutch connection than a French one i say.

I'm not sure about Bergkamp because of his Pteromerhanophobia.Muhkoo wrote:The Bat-Man wrote:Ahly's unhealthy obsession with Wenger brought up a scary prospect, life after Wenger.

But he was a master on the field so I hope he can become a master off it as well.

I'd like to see Bergkamp manage a team first, he might be a good candidate to take over Pat Rice's role when he retires this season.

I wouldn't want to have a legend as a manager. All the good players end up to be shit managers.

I think Guardiola's position at the moment is merited to only a certain degree. I can imagine just about any coach could succeed with that team, with that philosophy
