To say he didn't do it intentionally is pathetic.

Really? Your mind must be a bit warped. He blatantly bends his knee as his foot lands, to lessen the impact. It was not a purposeful stamp. To say it is, is pathetic.

We are trailing a Portsmouth youth player, can't remember his name.

Must be good if they are putting him straight into the reserves.

Played at U17 level for England in Mexico last year. According to the Echo "He is regarded as one of Pompey’s most promising talents but has yet to make his first team debut".

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
So are we giving him a trial then or what?
Also, there's a report that Spurs are after that Leandro Damiao dude from Brazil. They seem to have some pretty good targets lined up, I hope we do too and are abandoning the shitty English thing.

Spurs are miles ahead of us at the moment. Our only hope of catching them in the near future is if Redknapp leaves and their new manager completely messes everything up.Mustangt125 wrote:So are we giving him a trial then or what?

So much of our transfer policy in the summer will depend on whether we get Champions' League football. I get the feeling that we will kind of continue with this bs policy until we get top four. Ironically, the only way we will get top four is by buying foreign players.
In all honesty, I think are plans for this season relied far too heavily on Andy Carroll finding his form. The fact that it's taken us 6 months and 20+ league games to finally see him anywhere near his old form is probably the reason why we are in 7th? place.
I reckon Suarez will leave in the summer, unfortunately.

Yeah in the reserves game on Friday.
Spurs are also looking likely to sign Hazard aswell They'll probably pull ahead from us for a good few years now.

I have a strong feeling he will. I've looked into the history of our owners, and they are astute, but ruthless businessmen. Suarez has brought Liverpool nothing bud bad press overseas. Nobody knows that he's a good player-they know only that he's "that racist player." It all adds up, especially when you consider their low-tolerance policy when dealing with bad press from players in baseball.Cam wrote:Suarez won't leave..

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
I don't think Suarez will leave this summer.
And Spurs aren't miles ahead of us. Granted, they are playing a lot better and in a much much better position but look at a bigger picture. A club of our size shouldn't back down or shape our transfers around who Spurs think they can get.
Not to mention we pay more than they do. I think they will probably stay the course as far as transfer targets. I think Harry will take the England job in the summer and I would be quite surprised if they were to sign somebody the caliber or Hazard.

If he leaves, i'll be pissed, but he won't, I think they'll give him a chance to get this behind him, but if he keeps doing bad stuff then yeah.

The only thing going for us right now is that our wage bill is relatively low compared to what it has been in the past.

What clubs have massive debts? Chelsea have as good as nothing, City could write it off in a second, Spurs has nothing and we make more money each year than we owe.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
How can he stay? If he racially abused Evra, then you're a club which is endorsing racism, and if he didn't, they you publicly admonished him for refusing to shake the hand of a man who lied to get him banned from football for 8 games and destroyed his reputation. If either party has any decency, pride or honesty then a parting of the ways should follow in the summer.

People are so scared of Suarez, that's why they want him to leave. Including Ferguson.

We can't afford to lose sponsorship money plus wages on a player that is prone to missing 8-9 games a season through suspension.Scott. wrote:People are so scared of Suarez, that's why they want him to leave. Including Ferguson.

Unless by some miracle we finish top four. What will attract good players to our club if we lose our only star name?
