We'll replace him with 'Arry Redknapp, FA Cup winner. It's all good.

Got a lot respect for Capello, he must have sacrificed a lot of money by quitting early, he wasn't willing to give up control of the squad for any amount of money.

Meeting called by Bernstein, went on for an hour, and ended in Capello giving his resignation. Sounds like being sacked to me. Bet he got a nice pay-out too.

If he quit then he wont get severance I think and they're saying he 'quit' at the moment.

If he got sacked then that's different, guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Should let the manager manage the team then. The FA are stupid fucks, I actually agree with their decision on Terry, but it shouldn't have been their decision to make.

I hope that it is only a coincidence that Fabio has Quit (Been Sacked more like) on the same day that Harry gets cleared of all charges relating to tax evasion.

    Hmmm...

Im glad he did the right thing, pride first.

Anyway if England were in the unlikely event to win the tornament.. how isit an English win with an Italian the brains behind it? The manager is as important as the team so it wouldn't be an english success anyway.

People who say "we aren't going to win it anyway" can fuck off.

Just because Spain/Germany/Holland will doesn't mean our preparation for it should be a joke.

But it's no different at any other tournament we qualify for really. Neutral

I'm guessing they offered him a sizeable severance package and fully paid throughout his contract if he agreed to resign.

If Capello flat out refused to even consdier it and the FA felt strongly that it would cause harm to the English game then they would have had no choice.
