I think it will be either Frank Lampard or Rio Ferdinand.

Next England captain?
Now that Mr John Terry has offically been stripped of his captaincy, again, who will be the next to wear the armband?
I think it will be either Frank Lampard or Rio Ferdinand.

Re: Next England captain?
Said in the other thread it should be Hart. He's always in the team, always shouting at his defence. Reckon he'd do well.
I imagine it'd be Gerrard though.
Maybe Scott Parker if he's around the team still for the Euro's (which he should be )

Jack Wilshere if he ever plays football again.
Seriously I'd choose Cashley or Joe Hart though.

Joe Hart, seems like someone with a good head on his shoulders, him or Frank Lampard if he still gets called up. Always thought Lampard was a class act in a sometime classless bunch.

Yeah. Teaching children to shoot other kids with air rifles is setting a good example, because they might use them instead of real guns.

Determine it by lottery before each game, sick of this fucking shite about a role which doesn't even have any real responsibilities.

Rio or Frank? They will have to get in the team first.
The capitancy is overrated. I'd give it to someone who having the captains armband, would improve their performance, so i'd give it to rooney.

Re: Next England captain?
Not saying i think it should be Rio or Frank, i think i will be between them, the most experienced players other than Terry who are still in the England set up.

Cashley, Gerrard, Barry , Heskey....
Ferdinand was made captain but he's never fit for England.

Ferdinand has lost his legs, he doesn't deserve to be in the set up anymore.

Re: Next England captain?
Scott Parker (srs)
Leader on and off the pitch, someone with what many would call a true English spirit. A central midfielder who'll see everything around him and shout at others if he needs to. A battler who'll set the right example.
#Parkerforcaptain
But we all know it'll be Rio or Gerrard (who is pretty much fit now and should be for the Euro's so is sure to be going).

Neither is Gerrard tbf, he hasn't played for England since 2010. Ferdinand is injury prone but considering he was captain before Terry i wouldn't be surprised if he's chosen again.

Re: Next England captain?
What? you'd rather a man who's been in court for being a thug? or maybe someone who shot an air rifle at a work experience kid? or someone who missed a drug test? no, let's just give it to Rio since he's brother was the victim in this.Big_Lad_Pardew wrote:No thanks. Scott Parker has no baggage like that. He has captained Spurs already, captained West Ham, and let's be honest he is getting on anyway and Fabio is leaving after the tournament, so whoever is captain will only be so until July. I'm sure you can deal with it until we get knocked out in the groups to France.

Re: Next England captain?
Gerrard should never captain England again, his previous captaincies have been catastrophic. Derailing England's campaign to reach Euro 2008 by losing the last two games in pathetic fashion, with a pathetic individual performance, and the utter disgrace of the World Cup in South Africa. He should never even play for England again, it might extend his career keeping Liverpool down and taking all the credit for everything.

Yeah, and a guy who will quit after Euro 2012, likely leading to Terry being given it back for a third time. Forget it.

Re: Next England captain?
Scott Parker or Gareth Barry
Both in the perfect position to organise the team, both leaders. Both out of trouble as far as i'm aware and at least 1 of them is guarenteed to be in the team.

Give it to him or Barry until they retire and then hand it to Wilshere.
