Piss off. I'm asking for his opinion.

I don't know, it's a possibility. Nothing wrong with believing they exist.

Better question is probably, has anything notable happened in the last 70 some odd pages.Eternal Witcher wrote:Anything notable happen in the last few pages?
Yes, some very good discussion has taken place.Jorlung wrote:Better question is probably, has anything notable happened in the last 70 some odd pages.Eternal Witcher wrote:Anything notable happen in the last few pages?
Not necessarily. Recent studies have shown signs that the Universe is accelerating in its expansion, hence we have the theory of dark energy.Jorlung wrote:The universe in constantly growing, but is not infinite, it will eventually stop growing and start shrinking.

I don't know anybody with a religious belief who's parents aren't also religious.
It seems that those people who are not brought up under the cloud of religion, and allowed to make their own choices about what they beleive, very rarely give religion a second thought.

For me the answer would probably be yes tbh. But as I've said I'm not exactly the most religious person. Not really sure if I believe in God or anything like that, but I do follow the teachings and the principles of religions (ie. be nice guy 'n stuff) but I don't know if I would have been a Christian at all if I hadn't attended a catholic school for the past 13 1/2 years. But to your comment about not being allowed to make their own choices about what they believe I personally don't think that is true, well at least not with me I still choose to follow the teachings and principles of religions, even if I might have not gotten into it myself. You also when you're 14 or something (age was actually like 9 before in my generation) you go through Confirmation if you're Catholic. This is basically making sure you want to be a Christian when you're at an age to understand now. Before when the age was 9 it was a bit ridiculous, I didn't really even understand what it was that I was doing. But not that it's moved to like 12-14 (not entirely sure the age exactly) it makes more sense.Totti wrote:Those here that follow a religion. Brainwashed by your parents instead.ahlycotc wrote:@Totti: I probably wouldn't have been Muslim had my parents not been Muslim, because I would have probably been brainwashed by the bias media. But there are several examples of non-religious people who convert to Islam or another religion later in life. There is always going to be a tendency to stick to what you were brought up with. If you were brought up an atheist, you will most likely continue to be an atheist.

I agree with Ricky.
What are you trying to say here?Dean wrote:Yeah if I be good, I go and sit with God, eat crisps and have him a few games on FiFA.
It's just not logical at all.

Not for people following religion, but actually the thought, there's a God and a Heaven...and all that shite. Yeah if I be good, I go and sit with God, eat crisps and have him a few games on FiFA.
It's just not logical at all.

One does not simply walk into Eternal.
Tell me...sir; have you ever dined with the devil? I have. My stairway to Heaven lies through the whispering winds. I say 'Dear Lady'...nothing. The Piper will lead us to reason, or so apparently. You see, the forest echoes with laughter at this thought. You see, Eternal, there's still time to change the road you're on...The Piper calls you to join him. Do you accept this?
Now tell me, who would you go with? The Dear Lady...or The Piper?
