Well at least in Mexico, not sure what those crazy Venezuelans do with their language.

Moreno= Black Person. Actually it's Brown but usually it's a much more sensitive term for Negro.

Moreno = last name as well?
You keep doubting my knowledge of Spanish, Che.

Re: 2012 Copa Santander Libertadores
Yeah, it's also a last name. Like Hector Moreno.
But like I said, at least in Mexico not sure in other places, it's really not politically correct to call a Black person Negro, so it's rarely done. Although I don't think too many people actually take offends to it. Usually only people of a dark complexion but not of African decent get called Negro. Like Omar Esparza, Juan Carlos Medina, and Luis Alonso Sandoval. If you google those guys you'll see they aren't actually Black.
Black people usually get called Moreno, Morena, Morenito, Morenita, the latter being terms of endearment.
Although you do get the odd footballer with a nickname like, La Pantera Negra(The Black Panther), El Jefe Negro(the Black Chief) or El Condor. Which are a obvious refrence to their skin color. Although of course these aren't meant to be offensive.

Nevermind. I get what you're saying now. I thought Polska was asking about a name (even though he used "the", he capitalized moreno), but you're saying he's was just referring to his skin color.
Doesn't make sense though since there were only two guys who weren't black on the whole Atletico Nacional team.

Then I don't know what the fuck Polska is talking about then. Although I suspect neither does Polska.

Three Brazilian clubs played tonight.
Santos lost 2x1 to The Strongest after missing a gazillion chances.
Flamengo drew 1x1 with Lanus and Corinthians got a last second equalizer to achieve the same scoreline with Deportivo Tachira.

Fuck American terms. Your not black unless you are full on black.Ché Guayaba wrote:Moreno= Black Person. Actually it's Brown but usually it's a much more sensitive term for Negro.

Moreno in Venezuela anyway means someone with brown skin color.
Anyway, I was referring to the guy who looked a bit like Roberto Carlos that was fast and set up the goal.
Actually Roberto Carlos is the perfect example of a Moreno.

If his time in Mexico is anything to go by. Fuck no. But his record in Greece wasn't so bad, might suit hoofball better.Lus Suarez wrote:Ismael Blanco --> Legia Warsawa

I only like them, because Liverpool have a "partnership" with them. When am bored, and there on, I flick them on. Plus Coates and Suarez came from them. And hopefully plenty more too. . Still don't know the names off any players apart from El Chino. Use to have him in my team on an old Fifa when he was with Inter. Hard to get a decent stream..

Re: 2012 Copa Santander Libertadores
Nacional have three players in their squad that used to ply their trade in Aztec land. Vicente Sanchez, Tabare Viudez and Andres Scotti.
Viudez was terrible, Vicente was one of the best to ever grace Mexico but then left to Shalke and came back pretty shitm Scotti was okay I guess.
No one cares but I like sharing stories.

Should watch Mexican football. Gordon described it as, "reminiscent of a beehive" or something like that anyways.

Atletico Nacional won 4x0 against Penarol in the link I posted above. Only saw the 1st half, but at least I saw this peach of a goal.
Definitely the best team to watch in the group stages so far. Dorlan Pabon and MacNelly Torres.

Re: 2012 Copa Santander Libertadores
He's not that good to be honest. He's been a bit of a disappointment in the leauge but that also has to do a lot with lack of opportunity. Usually Cruz Azul starts with only 1 striker, and that limits his opportunities. (Bravo plays outwide)
It's kinda surprising that Cruz Azul is doing this well so far. They've been playing alternative squads, regular subs with the "pillars" of the team.(Araujo, Corona, Chaco)

He gets a lot of criticism because too many people hyped him up when he had a small streak going, but I kind of like hims as a player. Although he is limited, he always tries hard, and he isn't selfish. If his teammates were to finish the chances he creates for them he would probably be seen in a better light.
