It's time for South America's premier cup competition once again. The qualifying stage is over, with Corinthians being the major victim in that phase. Now it's time for group play.

Who was it?

Michael Antonio Pedroza Whitham. 19 year old striker for Jagures, picked up a couple of goals for El Jaguar against that Peruvian team(I forgot there name, Alianza Lima I think)

His mother is English, his father is Mexican, wiki says he was born in Zacatecas but not sure how accurate that is, I heard he was born in Chester or Manchester forget which one. Or maybe that was his mom.

But yeah, they call him Rooney. Never made much sense until not too long ago.

Let's see. Cerro Porteno destroyed Colc Colo, and Cruzeiro demolished Estudiantes. Two really surprising results.

Group 8 is done. LDU and Penarol qualify. Group 1-7 have 1 game left (for the most part).

Just for flashbacks, Gremio thrashed Colombia Junior a week ago.

Group 7: Cruzeiro and Estudiantes go through
Group 4: Universidad Catalica and Velez Sarsfield
Group 2: Still one game left (now being played) but Junior and Gremio are already through.

Santos save themselves from elimination in group 5 with a 2-1 win tonight.
