What a crazy transfer fee, don't break the world record just yet!Jelavic9|RFC wrote:The Maestro wrote:The club couldn't pay a players fees, he had to get his family in Nigeria to help him fund his own move to Rangers. That's how dire Rangers financial position is, and how much money Craig Whyte has. Craig Whyte was also banned as a director for seven years, something which he initially denied but later admitted.
In March a decision will be made by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, which will result in Rangers having to pay a £49M tax bill. Something the club have admitted will definately plunge them into administration. It's only a matter of time.
And Jela says .. I think we're pretty much set
That's how we paid £250k yesterday for Celik.

What mainly affects a player from settling in at a new club?

Regardless, 250k is not a lot, and this is coming from someone who follows the Polish league.

The funny thing is he is talking out of his arse again. They haven't paid the moneyy yet.
His former club, Swedish top flight side GAIS, are entitled to £250,000 in training compensation for the 21-year-old and have expressed their desire to claim the full amount.
Rangers can field Celik before they pay the full amount of training compensation but must make payment within 30 days of the player's registration.

Oh right, so they're still negotiating compensation?

I know it ain't but Aberdeen were only entitled to 50k for Aluko, so we obviously have enough to pay it.
@Maestro, we have 30 days to pay it.

No, its 250k, but they don't have to pay it right away. Within 30 days, I'd be surprised if they do.

The stated amount will come out of the clubs account in 30 days, therefore we have agreed to and will pay it.

Yeah no point talking about Rangers financial woes in this thread. Besides, on the bright side, Rangers will survive this week having avoided paying win bonuses for today. Every little helps.

Sometimes, the players in question just don't fit into the team. Or, at a big club like Rangers, there's the issue of being under a lot of pressure from the fans.
