In truth, players in the PL make shit compared to NBA, MLB, and NFL players. The highest paid player in the world (Cristiano Ronaldo) makes less than what rookie NFL quarterbacks make presently.

People that say I wouldn't be happy with 20k or even 10k. How the fuck do you know? I'd earn a month wat it takes 12 of those for most people to earn, I'd still feel overpaid even then.

You also don't spend as much money as footballers do and don't pay 50% taxes. It's all relative. Think about how much money is made and spent in the football industry. Most footballers are fairly paid for their services.

I'd move for more money. Anyone saying they wouldn't are bullshitters.
Footballers just get a bad name because it's of public interest.
Say you were a teacher on 30k a year. Another school offers you 40k year to do exactly the same job. You would take it without a doubt.
People all over the world quit their jobs to work and do the same job for more money, so why can't footballers?

Depends, if I had been at a club for 6 years, and all the fans loved me, I was on 100k a week, and my club offered me a 150k wage, but I knew another club could offer me about 200-220k roughly, I'd stay at my club, I don't need more money, and I'm loved where I am.

Nothing is stopping them.
If I liked the club I was playing for, I'd ask for smaller wages to help and aid the club.
If I was meh, i'd ask for normal-ish wages.
If I disliked the club, I'd ask them for high wages.

Yeah but then again someone in Africa would do your job for 50p an hour and be happy.
Footballers deserve what they get paid, otherwise they wouldn't be getting paid it! They make the clubs money/success....and in return they get their reward.
Sure we'd all be happy with £10k per week to play for a top club, but once you're there and other teams will pay you more you have to put it into perspective.

What's even more ridiculous is that what footballers earn is peanuts compared to some other sports.

Biggest audience, bigger sponsorships, bigger attendances and more expensive tickets/merchandising......so yeah it's not really a surprise that American Sports which make owners more money (generally) is going to get players bigger pay checks.

Oh yeah. The rookie contracts for players coming into the NFL completely obliterates the money that PL, La Liga, and Serie A players make in their lifetimes.
Sam Bradford's is a 22 year old that has a 6 year contact worth $78M (£49.223M) with $50M (£31.55M) guaranteed before he even had his first practice with his pro-team. The contracts are completely out of hand in the NFL for rookies, but then again the owners are making even more money since the majority of them are either mega-millionaires or billionaires who make a killing during the season. The Dallas Cowboys new stadium cost $1.23B to build.

Believe it or not the NFL isn't getting ruined by money because the owners are making so much money it sickening. The problem is that the owners want to also lower the amount of money that gets shared under the collective bargaining agreement and that has the potential to cause a lockout starting next year. That seems to be the issue with pro sports here in the US.

There are no transfer fees in American sports. A player plays for a club for the length of a contract, then he becomes a free agent. If a player or club want to part ways before a contract is over, they either swap players with other clubs or terminate the contract with fees.

They are handled a lot different. There are no transfer fees however money can be involved. For example, in the NBA there are trades that involve players in exchange for money, but in most cases trades happen either for other players or for draft picks.
Trades don't happen too often in the NFL so free agency is the means by which players swap teams. In all other sports trades (transfers) happen all the time and draft picks and players are always the currency used in those transactions.
The reason that there are no actual fees is because the other team are taking on such large contracts that it would be counterproductive for them to pay money and then also have to pick up a huge contract.
For example, say I was the General Manager of the New England Patriots and I wanted to get Nnamdi Asomugha from the Oakland Raiders. Well he signed a very large contact for 3 years however the first 2 years are guaranteed at $28.5M ($14.25M + $14.25M), however the third year of the contact is set up so that if Oakland wanted to resign him they would have to pay him the average salary of the top 5 Quarterbacks in the league (QBs are the highest paid players in the NFL) or $16.85M per year whichever is higher.
Now as the Patriots GM I would have to look at taking that sick contract AND also paying them a fee to get him and in all cases that would just be way too much money. Another reason that fees aren't paid is because our sports have team salary caps and each players salary counts as a portion of the salary cap. If there were salary caps in English Football you would see a lot lower wages or they would be even higher, BUT there would be NO transfer fees.
