I'm surprise they didn't put Torres in it, he's got a winners medal.

While we're talking about this, I really don't know how Cannavaro won WPOTY in 2006. If any Italian should have won it, it should have been Buffon.

Nah, I'm saying he doesn't deserve to win this.

Fuck off. You seemed to of missed a couple of other people who agree with my opinion. He led inter to the treble and he was runner up in the wc finals. He deserves it.

Fuck off. You seemed to off missed a couple of other people who agree with my opinion. While messi had a great season scoring 47 goals. When it mattered he failed. didn't score against inter and did soooo good at the wc. He may of deserved to score but in 50 years time no one will remember that he deserved to score. They will only remember that he didn't.
That's it, insult me.

I did that because from all the posts in this thread you picked mine to laugh at. I can't help wonder why

Because I've just been going off on one, then you came in with that, so it was right in front of me.

Re: Ballon d'Or
Personally I think Sneijder was very jammy, and didn't play all that well in the World Cup, overrated performances, and I don't think because Inter won the treble he should win an award for individual performance.

Re: Ballon d'Or
What? Sneider has been the best attacking midfielder or #10 throughout last season...Holland shouldn't be in final is it wasn't for Wes, there was nothing overrated about his perfomances, he was pure class...He should win that award, the other nominees weren't as influential as he was..(maybe Messi. )kyro7 wrote:Personally I think Sneijder was very jammy, and didn't play all that well in the World Cup, overrated performances, and I don't think because Inter won the treble he should win an award for individual performance.

Sneijder was at least one of the world's best players on overall performances last season, if you truly watched Serie A you'd know how Inter dominated big teams with one attack lead by Sneijder each time. Anyone who thinks Wes didn't have a class season needs to watch more of his games.

Because Messi was a class above everyone, that's why.

Re: Ballon d'Or
Messi beasted last season, but in an important match where the best players show their true class....he provided nothing. Even in the World Cup he couldn't do anything for Argentina.
Just because he scored 47 doesn't automatically win him an award of the best player.

Re: Ballon d'Or
What?
In the world cup he performed to a higher level than Sneijder, Sneijder scored but his goals were lucky, Messi was the unluckiest player hitting the woodwork several times, performance wise Messi was superior, and don't forget v Inter they put like 3 men on him, also Barcelona should have really gone through.

Re: Ballon d'Or
If you are talking about performances Fabregas had 20 of what Sneijder had in the world cup last season.
Sneijder shows flashes of brilliance, but other then that he's not doing fuck all tbh.

Sneijder goals were lucky? He makes his own luck then, Holland wouldn't have even had a chance against Brazil if it wasn't for Sneijder. You talking like Inter had 3 extra defenders on the pitch and they just marked Messi. Sneijder was marked, but he still played good, for example the game against Chelsea he proved why he was the best in the world, what big game last season did Messi do anything like that?

Re: Ballon d'Or
Since when did luck become a factor on performance?
World Cup 2010
Sneijder: 5 goals
Messi: 0
FACT. I don't care how many times Messi hit the woodwork.
You're saying that he lucked out on all 5? He was extremely important in the game vs Brazil.
And no, Barcelona didn't deserve to go through. Mourinho had Inter perform well as a team, from Cesar, Lucio, Maicon, Sneijder, and Milito. Barcelona was shit against Inter, highlighted by Victor Valdes' attitude after his loss at Mourinho.
Sneijder was the player who linked the midfielder to the forwards and was definitely influential in their season. Season before, Inter were missing his type of player.
Messi didn't perform when his team needed him to, ie. Champions League Semi Final / World Cup. Sure, he played well, but couldn't help his team win. Frankly, scoring 49 goals is impressive but no where near winning the treble and a World Cup final appearance.
I see why you guys think Messi should win, as he was brilliant, but totally disagree with the comments saying that Sneijder was overrated and doesn't deserve it. Sneijder was one of the best if not the best players last season and you're blind if you think otherwise.

I don't have a problem with people wanting Messi to win, but those who say Sneijder was shit clearly are clueless.
