midnight in paris: Was really good. 8/10. I feel like it could of been a lot better, they should of done more with it and tbh a lot of things should of been explained but weren't. Overall another great woody movie

Burke & Hare - 7.5/10
Good film overall but it was a bit dry at times.

The Descendants - I liked it a lot. Acting's great, story's believable, very funny at times but equally heartfelt at others.
Martha Marcy May Marlene - Well made with a great central performance from Elizabeth Olsen. John Hawkes gives a very haunting performance as well. Ambiguous ending that will receive mixed reactions. I thought it was alright but slightly too vague. Andrey Arshavin is mentioned in the film at one point when the protagonist spots him on the television and refers to him as the one who looks like a kid.

Pretty sure it was late 2012. Not really looking forward to it. Get the feeling that they'll fuck it up. It's always a risk to adapt highly acclaimed source material.

Not really actually. All I wanted to do was murder Daisy the whole way throughout, so annoying, Redford wasnt bad though.

Yeah, so I've read. Apparently she overacts way too much. Honestly, I'm a bit surprised they chose someone like Robert Redford to do Gatsby, as I am surprised that they have chosen DiCaprio for the new one. They're both capable actors, but they're such big film stars and I feel that they're a bit too masculine for the role of Gatsby. Gatsby's supposed to be quite vulnerable and slightly effeminate in appearance. I guess DiCaprio's capable of producing that (as proven in Titanic), but I feel there were better options out there.

Agreed. He would have been perfect actually, in my opinion.

The Loved Ones 9/10
It's an Australian horror flick. Intense, kinda gory. But it's a good one.
