We'll still lose unfortunately. That's just my gut feeling when it comes to City. We need Suarez to compete.ResurrectionRooney wrote:Kompany suspended for your Semi.

It'll be overturned. Never a red that.

But there's no Kompany to keep Carroll quiet this time.

Got a feeling we'll United in the next round now. Just hope it's at Anfield.
Also if Kompany doesn't get his red overturned he will face a four game ban, because he's already received one red card this season. Think that would mean he would miss both legs of the League Cup game. He'll probably get it overturned though.

My dad says it was a clear red, so it won't be overturned.

This is what I fear. If we do get them, it's always going to be away.Scouser_Dave wrote:Got a feeling we'll United in the next round now. Just hope it's at Anfield.

The commentator said that with the FA looking to clamp down, it is unlikely that it will be overturned.

I wouldn't mind getting them at Anfield, but I always fear playing them at OT.
However, that 4-1 win

Kompany banned for 4 games not 3? 'cause he's already had a straight red this season?

Hopefully, if it means he misses both our cup ties, but yeah, that's what I've heard

Just thinking then, it would be perfect karma for Mancini after he waved the imaginary card for Skrtel to get sent off on Tuesday.

What's so bad about waving an imaginary card?Scouser_Dave wrote:Just thinking then, it would be perfect karma for Mancini after he waved the imaginary card for Skrtel to get sent off on Tuesday.

Do you find it acceptable now that Rooney's done it?ResurrectionRooney wrote:What's so bad about waving an imaginary card?Scouser_Dave wrote:Just thinking then, it would be perfect karma for Mancini after he waved the imaginary card for Skrtel to get sent off on Tuesday.
If it was Suarez I'm sure you'd be condemning him.

It confuses the players.

Rooney hasn't done it, and if he had I wouldn't care. To be honest I think the whole vilification of people who wave imaginary cards is quite xenophobic. How else can non-English speaking players communicate that they feel they deserve more protection?Dagbon wrote:Do you find it acceptable now that Rooney's done it?ResurrectionRooney wrote:What's so bad about waving an imaginary card?

Keep telling yourself that
As for the second point, I don't know, talk to an English speaking teammate?

Is that OK then? To tell the referee in English or tell your English speaking mate to?

Joe Cole scored a hat trick for Lille yesterday so that is 7 goals in 22 matches for his loan so far.

Yes, you're playing in an English league, refs shouldn't have to learn multiple languages to be able to communicate with the players considering how many different cultures there are playing in the league.

They don't, players can just communicate by using their hands if they don't speak English. What's the problem with that?Dagbon wrote:Yes, you're playing in an English league, refs shouldn't have to learn multiple languages to be able to communicate with the players considering how many different cultures there are playing in the league.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Card waving is just a cheap and desperate ploy to get the opposition booked. Players abuse it all the time to get people wrongly booked, like today with Rooney getting Kompany sent off for a great tackle.

How is it different from appealing for a penalty or for a throw in or whatever? I don't see it as cheap or desperate.
