Please keep club rivalry out of this, this is an unacceptable act from the Argentina national squad.

They can't win anyways, it's not like banning them will make a difference.

Re: Ban Argentina
That's about Fernando Cáceres whose nickname is "Negro" They did it to support him because he got shot or something.

The head of the Professional Footballers Association, Gordon Taylor thinks different.
"I've travelled the world a lot and this defence that it is okay to make reference to the colour of somebody's skin in South America in a jovial manner, well I've not heard that before.
Polska, what do you think off this?

Re: Ban Argentina
In a lot of places in Latin America, I'm going to assume that everywhere, anybody with a dark complexion gets called "Negro" or "Negrito", usually it's a term on endearment and usually these people are not Black but Mestizo(White and Amerindian), I don't know about other countries but in some places in Mexico, calling an actual Black person "Negro" or "Negrito" can be considered insensitive, so they call them "Moreno" or "Morenito" instead.
For example, in Mexico these three dudes go by the nickname "Negro"
El Negro Sandoval
El Negro Medina
and El Negro Esparza
Even the commentators call them this and it's not considered at all offensive.
You'll probably never hear a commentator(or at least not a Mexican one) ever call someone like Dawrin Quintero or Christian Benitez "Negro"

Re: Ban Argentina
Considering that they were playing against each other and the game was heated, I'm assuming it wasn't a term of endearment, that and Evra is actually Black. I'd say yes.

Re: Ban Argentina
Well there you have it. Nobody can claim it was a cultural misunderstanding then.
