Ressurection rooney makes some very good and logical points, which rather than arguing, you simply ignore and say shut up, very unfair treatment of him, you know he isnt black right?

RR is a perfect example of someone you'll admire when he has the same opinion as you and hate when he has an opposing view.

Saying "but he said that!" doesn't really absolve Suarez of blame though, which is exactly what a dozen or so people are trying to do. It's playground mentality. Doesn't wash in any real life situation. Personally I don't see the "racist" in saying "south american", I could be mistaken, but I personally don't see it. Basically because nationalities aren't races. You call me a dirty gloryhunting norwegian, and I'm not going to consider that racist now am I?
Before the snide remarks come in. I know Suarez is from Uruguay and that South America is a continent.
OK well I'm not making excuses for Suarez.
the term "South American" is def not racist, but there seemed to be intent here from Evra to be patronizing and derogatory, could this be classed as racism?
probably not, hmm in fact I really don't see it either.

Personally I feel we need:
- CB: Carra is past it and needs replacing (Coates isn't up to it).
- CM: Cover for Lucas and hopefully a replacement for that waste of space Henderson.
- AM: Say what you want about him, Kuyt has lost it. As much as I like him it's time to think about a replacement who can score (Maxi is getting on and Downing isn't exactly a goalscorer).
- ST: the possibility of losing the hero that is Luis Suarez ( ) and being stuck with that oaf Carroll worries me.
Thoughts?

My friend, Henderson is far from a waste of space however I agree we do need a new center mid of some sort.

He isn't much better than the likes of Danny Guthrie who we hurriedly got rid of all those years back. Don't agree with spending so much on a player that I believe offers very little.
As far as CMs go, I think Charlie Adam was a fantastic acquisition by Dalglish but apart from him and Lucas (and possibly Spearing), we do not have anyone. I would bite your arm off for £15m for Gerrard from a deluded Russian club; we need to sell him and move on.

Not bloody likely. Racist comments are aimed at a race, it's in the word. All racist comments are xenophobic, but not all xenophobic comments are racist. If someone called Evra a dirty frenchman I fully expect him to take it on the chin. Soon you will be telling me that calling someone a twat is considered racist too

You need to stop with these comments. They make you look stupid.
If racism is unacceptable, so are xenophobic comments. Both are discriminatory.

how have you come to the conclusion that Coates is not up to it? He's barely played.
I'm not a fan of Henderson myself, I don't see what he offers the team.
I think what we need in Jan is a striker who will sit on the shoulder of the last defender (a poacher type, Torres?) and the return of Alberto Aquilani!
We can't get everything we want now, will have to wait for the summer for a few other positions when better options will be available.

OK
They are, but that doesn't automatically make xenophobic comments racist? Personally I would consider racism a greater offense than an insult like "you dirty frenchman", "you skint scott", "sheepshagging Welsh" or "fucking norwegian". Sure they are offensive, but racism is a tad worse in my book.
That being said, Evra shouldn't have said it. I don't see a racism charge being relevant though. A fine for being a bastard on the other hand...

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
So how many dropped points is that where we have missed a PK?
I know for sure:
Suarez against Sunderland. Game ended in a tie, dropped two points.
Adam against Wigan. Game ended in a tie, dropped two points.
I remember for some reason Carroll took one, what happened in that game? What are our pen stats?
Just guessing here, I bet it's something like 6-8 dropped points where we have missed a PK. Thats fucking pathetic.

let's be honest, this whole situation is a mess, Evra & Suarez should have had a little chat after the game and moved on.

Liverpool fans are actually pretty xenophobic at best, and promoters of terrorism at worst. I remember 18 months ago seeing Liverpool fans burning the Flag of the United States outside Klanfield

Maybe I'm a little harsh on Coates but judging his performances for LFC + Uruguay he doesn't seem that great.
A Torres-style striker I'd accept but if you're insinuating we try and re-purchase him from Chelsea...
Don't think Aquilani wants to play for us but he's decent enough, better than Henderson in any case.

I blame Dalglish, and to a less extent Fergie, for not attempting it. I'm guessing the Fergie - Dalglish relationship had something to do with that.
