I only spammed as other people would reply to any of my posts with a GIF, and felt the need to do the same

When I was 7, the week after Man Utd won the Champions League. Realised that I didn't have any reason to support Man Utd and it was pointless and boring. Decided to support my place of birth (Watford)..though it was still my closest team even in North West London. Dad was Spurs fan and brother was still a naive Liverpool fan (who ended up being Spurs with Watford a close 2nd)...but I made them come with me and watch 5-6 games a season.....and it ended up in me being a season ticket holder along with my friend...but now my brother comes with me instead.

When I first went to the stadium. When I was 3 I still remember that penalty by Blanco.
There wasn't actually a professional local team at the time so it was easy.

Meh.

Growing up, I was never into football. I was one of those kids who'd toe-poke the ball with my skater shoes on.
Up until the age of around 12-13. I was only into extreme sports, like Skateboarding (which I was really good at, could do kickflips and ollie down a flight of 4-6 steps etc) and BMXing.
Then my Mum met my Stepdad, who was born and raised in Liverpool and took me to games, bought me Liverpool gear for Christmas and introduced me to football, basically.
Ever since then, I've fallen in love with football and it's a been a big part of my social life. I joined the school football team (I once played against Theo Walcott. Fact.) went to the park with my mates to play football every day after school etc. Became pretty good at the game. People (my friends) used to call me the left footed Alonso by the time I was 16-18. (I idolised him and copied the way he played the game and practised his way of passing the ball all the time) I could also do keepy-ups forever. I remember on the old EA forum, someone called me up on this and said I was bullshitting, until I recorded a video of myself doing it and putting it on youtube for them. Idiots.
Anyway, my point is. I wasn't interested in football and actually disliked it, until I was about 13 and now I'm pretty much a football fanatic. So yeah, Mekuto is wrong.
Perhaps the essential point of your post may be correct, but I feel you didn't completely understand what I meant. I stated that those who disliked the game will never understand the game in complete depth; this was not the case for you. Going to a match doesn't necessarily mean you'll fall in love with the sport, I strongly believe that love for things in particular is something you are born with. Perhaps you didn't follow the sport when you were younger because of skill levels, as opposed to the brilliance of the game.
That is stupid. When we are born we know nothing about football, therefore we can not love it until we can see the beauty in it.

Tl;dr version - Cousins and aunt tried to get me to be a Sporting fan but I always liked Porto since forever. As for Bolton, they were my local team when I came back to England.

Was kind of forced into supporting United...
I really started supporting them, though, when I went to my first game.

I was brought up on Football in pretty much the middle of London and my father supported Chelsea and when it was my 7th birthday and he bought me a Chelsea kit. That's when I decided they're my team.
From the first time I saw Cantona play
Edit: Rosenborg was more or less Fed with the bottle

Nah seriously, I don't know really I was very young and somewhat everyone in my fam. supports Real Madrid, although there are a few that root for clubs like Rayo and such.

I decided to support Man. United when I was 6. I saw David Beckham's halfway line goal against Wimbledon and thought this is the team for me.
