Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
Jordi what sort of money do Saints have on the game? I can't be fucked checking.
Are they anything like QPR on the last one? I got a good budget off them in my first year in the PL

£5m budget at the start, £22m in the bank.
If you get promoted straight away, you get about £20m.

Hmm, can't be fucked doing promotion, such a hassle. Might start a new save with a PL minnow and try and keep them up and get a decent budget the next year. I like low expectations.

Started a game with Swans. They've got a decent squad, reckon I can keep them up easy. Signed Glen Whelan on the cheap from Stoke, nice balanced CM player.

Also got Mahamadou Diarra on a free, took a big wage but he's only on a one year deal, will probably shift him after a year when I've got some money.

With Liverpool it's so hard to stay in the job over a year.

Just got a huge kick in the balls in the fact that Krul got injured and out for 4 months. Got a week to sign someone before the start of the season

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
Lost in the FA Cup semi final 2-0 to Everton; they got beat by Newcastle in the final.
Southampton went on a crazy 15 game unbeaten run at the end of the season and pipped me for auto promotion.
1. Reading 88pts
2. Southampton 88pts
3. Forest 87pts
Beat West Ham on penos in PO semis, then beat Leicester 3-1 in the final
Since promotion, both Reading and Southampton lost their manager. McDermott went to Villa and Adkins took over the GB Olympic team

Sounds like the end of last season.
We won 13 of our last 15 to win promotion.

Absolutely analized Tottenham, not even sure how/why. Should have been about 6.
Was feeling optimistic, then I looked at my next fixtures...

I'm a 4-1-2-2-1 guy. (1 DM, 2 CM, 2 wingers and a striker)

You have let down Nottingham Forest. Please resign.
You had a team capable of winning the league easily...
I'm upset with you

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
Managed to sign Jussi (Bolton keeper, not spelling that last name ). Played my first game, won 3-0 against Liverpool. Ba scored and then Kadlec double. My 4-2-3-1 seems to be the way to go

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
Does anybody know how I can make my FM faster? It takes like 10 mins to start, then from there it's another 10+ mins for new games or me to load games. I mean last years FM was fine.

Play with less leagues, turn off 3D matchview and reduce interactivity in properties (fastest).

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
Such a long break with National jobs. I can't even arrange a friendly until November, and I am still only given two days to choose from. One being the day after a Qualifier

I'm holidaying most of Season 3 out of boredom, I need to find a way how to make my Chelsea career exciting.

Play your defenders up-front and vice versa.

Try and emulate a playing style (old ajax 3 at the back, barca's posession fotball, or playing DMs as BPDs ect) and make the tactics yourself.

First game won. I'm pleased, although, my strikers were poor. Gekas may need to fill in,
