I played my nice attacking 4-2-2-2 formation.

I hadn't thought about Fonte and Hooiveld in defence. Laughing

yeah, i thought about doing the same with mancity and see if i could sign messi

montolivo it is then. i'm going to see if i could loan him out first though. i only need a temporary MC to partner de rossi for a season (or two?) while bertolacci/ciciretti are still developing

Andrea Poli is probably available for cheap. Easily the best replacement for De Rossi you could find.

not looking for a replacement. de rossi's here to stay Cool

not sure if i could get poli. he has a future agreed fee for inter and they'll probably sign him because he's leading the league in assists atm. i'm not looking into him anyway.

i just need someone short term to slot into my first team because i need another year or two to develop bertolacci/ciciretti. a loan would be the most viable option, but there aren't that many good MC's on the loan list. carrick is on the list but meh. i have extra money to spend, so i might splash one on montolivo/fernandinho.... just cause

i only discipline players if they have 5.9 or below

i rarely discipline them if they get 6.0 or above. i'll give them "the talk" but no punishment

anything below 6.0 i give them the official warning on first offense. 1 week wages second offense. 2 week wages third offense. after that i just keep giving 2 week wages, and eventually either stick them in reserves as punishment, warn transfer list, or actually transfer list them to scare them a little bit

i did it to fellaini in FM11 and it did wonders... too bad he refused to sign an extended contract with me and i lost him on a bosman =[. make sure you remember to do that before you upset a player........ lesson learned lol

i received €12m in my first winter transfer window... maybe your save is glitched...? either that or it really has to do with me disabling first transfer window signings. i also got rid of wage eaters like cicinho and lobont... maybe that helps as well

i wish we could swap our financial statuses. i usually don't spend much anyway. i get most of my players through bosmans and i love scouring for deals. i got zuniga for €450k

laurencio, as a tip for roma

if you're still hanging onto some veterans, negotiate a new contract and cut their salary. you save a lot of money that way.

totti, perrotta, cassetti, heinze, and pizarro all willingly took ~50% pay cuts because they love the club. i didn't bother giving contracts to juan/burdisso because they're being sold soon anyway

before i gave out those contract renewals my transfer/wage budget was at €2m, now it's at €7m
