He's one of the hardest working players at the club. Keeps possession, tracks back well and has decent passing/shooting and crossing. Good player to have on the bench and to play cup games. If Lansbury steps up then I suppose it won't matter.

Anyone think we should sign Benayoun permanently ?

Arsenal's Robin van Persie has revealed that he only watches his own club and Barcelona matches on TV, because he believes they are the only sides who play "beautiful football".
Limiting his footballing viewing a bit there. He'll have missed some quality games if that's true.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
Could get Taiwo, Krasic and Podolski for £30-35m roughly. Could sell Almunia, Squillaci, Arshavin and Chamakh for £15-20m roughly. Spend £15m and we'll have a much better team, do it Wenger
First XI
-------------- Szczesny --------------
Sagna - Koscielny - Vermaelen - Taiwo
---------- Song --- Wilshere ----------
Krasic -------- Arteta -------- Podolski
-------------- van Persie --------------
Subs:
Fabianski
Mertesacker
Santos
Ramsey
Rosicky
Gervinho
Walcott
Second XI:
-------------- Mannone --------------
Jenkinson - Djourou - Miquel - Gibbs
----- Coquelin ------- Frimpong -----
--- Chamberlain - Diaby - Miyaichi ---
---------------- Park ----------------
That first XI and bench for £15m
Yes i'm aware it won't ever happen

Krasic will be another Arshavin, there is a reason he has been dropped from the Juve team and is like 5th choice

I don't think so, he's stronger and bigger then Arshavin and I think he'll do quite well, and tbh I don't think we'd have to pay a lot.

I was really excited when he was going to play on Tuesday and he just kept on hoofing back to the opposition, even when he was under no pressure at all Then I read that he was the worst passer in the match.

Boxing Day game against Wolves is moved to the 27th because of train strikes.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
It just pisses me off that Rosicky doesn't start games for us, once again last night proved his directness and sharp passing which opened up the Villa defence. His attitude when conceding goals is horrible, but if he's producing them then I couldn't give 2 fucks. I'm all in favour of Ramsey starting, but there are some games where he's not influencial and runs out of ideas e.g. last night. The experienced heads came on and changed the game for us (Benayoun, Arshavin and Rosicky). If it wasn't for Arsh taking his man on, we wouldn't have had that corner to win the game. I still believe Rosicky's better than Ramsey although nearly everyone on here going to flame me for that, but that's my honest opinion. Rosicky's sharper, quicker, looks for the killer pass more often than not and know's how to tackle (not relevant but hey he won the ball back impressively) When Wilshere come's back I'd love to see the midfield trio of Song, Arteta and Wilshere.
Ready for the "RosickyCan'tPassABallMoreThan5Yards" I honestly can't believe most of you think Rosicky's shit.

The thing is Rosicky can't stay consistent throughout a match(a bit like Arshavin). To be honest his only good performances this year have been against shit teams or as a late sub.

It's quite obvious Ramsey needs to be rested, he's being overused at the moment, I wouldn't be against giving Rosicky a run.

Ramsey is dead tired, it's very clear. It will be interesting, if when Wilshere comes back, we can play Arteta in the more forward position, he has a beautiful touch and holds the ball well, and is probably a better striker of the ball than Ramsey too, doesn't have the same pace though

I've always said Rosicky should stay, he's good at keeping possession, same with Arteta.

Yea he needs to be rested big time. But, in terms of pace Ramsey is pretty slow.
