Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
In January, will the midfield be Ramsey-Wilshere-Arteta?

Van Persie has to score 4 goals in the next 4 games(City, Villa, Wolves, QPR) to beat Shearers record, do you think he will do it?

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
He'll get three of them v Wolves, and definitely one v QPR, personally I think he'll get like 6 or 7.Splashy wrote:Van Persie has to score 4 goals in the next 4 games(City, Villa, Wolves, QPR) to beat Shearers record, do you think he will do it?

I reckon he'll score 2/3 and only beat Henry.Splashy wrote:Van Persie has to score 4 goals in the next 4 games(City, Villa, Wolves, QPR) to beat Shearers record, do you think he will do it?

I feel like a spastic for saying Wenger is stupid for allowing Song to attack more .
Guys turned out to be an absolute BEAST. Apparently he has the best through ball record in the league this season

If anything he has just improved on his passing from deep, sits back much more compared to last season and if he does go forward he also is covered better now.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
He seems more intelligent with his foward runs now, like against Dortmund he had a look around first before taking on those 3 players. I just wish he'd stop doing stupid shit though, like trying to dribble the ball gout of danger, getting stupid yellows etcFilippo Inzaghi wrote:If anything he has just improved on his passing from deep, sits back much more compared to last season and if he does go forward he also is covered better now.

This. I'm not a Song lover, but if he stops doing stuff like that, he'll be even better than he now is and I might start to even like him.
In all seriousness, although I didn't rate the guy at first, he's been a class act of late.

We need a left back and a striker because Gervinho and Maro will more than likely be gone for the ACoN.JMB_94 wrote:Would you guys still want Arsene Wenger to sign another striker in January, as a main priority? I'm sure you're aware, despite to form of RVP if he get injured you're kinda screwed and left with Chamakh as a target man.

We should offload Arshavin in January. As much as I love the little guy, he is dead weight and needs to be replaced.Chris wrote:I think Wenger will not sign anyone in January and we'll play this while ACON is happening..

Would like to Chamberlain play but I still think Wenger should buy someone like Farfan or Ayew.

Kuled you could put out a C-team and you'd still beat us. After what happened at Old Trafford our team will walk out nervous like single dads going to court to win their kids back.

‘It was an artistic goal from an artist’
Wenger reaction
Arsenal manager reflects on the victory over Everton
Arsène Wenger has described Robin van Persie’s winner against Everton as a moment of artistry.
The Frenchman watched his captain fire Arsenal into the top four for the first time this season with a wonderful volley 20 minutes from time.
Wenger believes the Dutchman’s instincts are natural.
“A professional football player is not always at his top level,” he told Arsenal Player. “But the artist within you never dies.
“In a fraction of a second when you keep your focus and don't get nervous when you haven't had the best of games, that makes a difference.
“He waits for the chance to kill the other team. If you panic when you don't play well then you miss these kinds of chances.
“In the end we got an artistic goal from an artist. Give credit to Alex Song as well who gave him a great ball, and Robin scored an exceptional goal.
“It was important to be at the level of the history of the Club, which meant at least to win,” he added. “One nil for Arsenal is quite historical!”

Only just got to see the RvP goal and
What a fucking strike it was. The way he watches it and takes it perfectly was brilliant. I do love goals like that.
Shows just how quality he is.

I know, we could have just fucking thrown in Almunia at left-back, it wouldn't have made any difference. Fucking bollocks.

Does this mean Vermaelen will play at LB from now on? (or maybe until January, when/if you sign someone)
