If anything he has just improved on his passing from deep, sits back much more compared to last season and if he does go forward he also is covered better now.

He seems more intelligent with his foward runs now, like against Dortmund he had a look around first before taking on those 3 players. Arsène Wenger has described Robin van Persie’s winner against Everton as a moment of artistry.
The Frenchman watched his captain fire Arsenal into the top four for the first time this season with a wonderful volley 20 minutes from time.
Wenger believes the Dutchman’s instincts are natural.
