I think Downing epitomise's our problem. Not enough penetration...if you know what I mean.

But you know the reason why everyone hated Hodgson. With Kenny we just have little problems that all seem to come down to our mentality. With Hodgson it was just chaos.

I don't see why you brought it up though, I mean I reckon he could fantastically well with Torres, at least that would have been relevant to Liverpool somewhat, rather than a favoured striker at your biggest rivals. Selling Torres and replacing him with Andrew Carroll was another stunning decision by Kenneth Dalglish by the way.

I agree it was stunning. Carroll has scored more than Torres.

Torres would have scored a lot more goals with Suarez behind him in a team geared to his strengths than in a team that he has no place in.

Both Carroll and Torres have been in excellent form. Torres was man of the match in the match against Stoke this season.

Weren't you just saying in the United thread that you wanted Hernandez kept out of the lineup?

Yes, but that's as much down to the paucity of our midfield as anything else, dropping Hernandez allows us to play a 4-3-3. He's not a good enough all round player to be a regular started for Manchester United in my view, but he is good enough to be starting for Liverpool.
