No.
Rather spend the money on someone possible younger, and less injury prone.
You will never get the Torres off 2007-09 again.

I think he'd be brilliant under Kenny. But, I seriously want his career to go right down the shitter and that would be a problem if he was playing for Liverpool.

We tried that with Andy Carroll and look where that got us.
I wouldn't expect the Torres of 07/08, but if he could be half that player I'd be happy.

I would take him back in a second, an attacking three of Suarez, Torres and Gerrard is orgasmic to say the least

But Carroll is nothing like Torres.
I should have said bought someone like Torres.
But, rather Suarez taps up Cavani for us.

Us spending £25 million? We could get a Frenchman who is just as good for half of that.

We play too narrow for Carroll at the moment and don't get enough bodies around him in the box, He's got loads of time people should just let him settle and just get on with it. It isn't working now but it may do he's got bags of time.
Chelsea are doing a similar thing with Torres. He's forced to run out wide because Chelsea play too narrow and he ain't going to score from the wing to often.

Would take a ridiculous amount of money to sign him. I get what your saying though.

He'll stop when he's got comfortable, do his usual disappearing trick.

Oh yes, because a striker who has played relatively poor and only scored 5 goals in 33 games is currently worth £25 million.

Yeah because £10M is a massive difference in today's market
Everyone knows he's better than he's actually currently showing. Just needs the service and a kick up the arse.

Of course there is. Look at how much you paid for Andy Carroll, look at how much you paid for Luis Suarez. Massive, massive difference in quality.

Yeah. He would rediscover his form if he came here imo. Always said he was made for Liverpool.

Fuck Torres for 25M.
Maybe for like 5M.

Andy Carroll was bought on deadline day at the last minute. We knew we would have to pay over the odds massively for him given the timing. Had we signed him in the summer we would have probably got him for half of what we paid for him.

Same applies to Torres.
What would his fee have been if he was bought in the summer?
