He had his arm out so that Aguero wouldn't be able to take it round him, I'd say that constitutes deliberate handball. Again, imagine a defender takes up a position like that, is it handball then?Bogdan wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong, but Reina tackled the ball, it hit aguero and ricocheted back to his shoulder/arm. You believe he deliberately hand balled it?ResurrectionRooney wrote:If a defender ever went in for a tackle like that and made a foul he'd sure as fuck be done for handball.

The goal was no luckier than Man United's goal yesterday.

I don't think he purposely had his arm out like that, but if he did for that reason then Reina is quite clever

I agree, but that's irrelevant.Scott wrote:ResurrectionRooney wrote:Not at all, I was supporting Liverpool today, I wanted you to be better than them, I was hoping you could actually score a goal.

Oh come on, why the fuck would he take that stance if he wasn't intending to use his hands?

Where else is he going to put his hand?

It's a very similar stance to one keepers use when rushing a player in the box, he could've possibly just done it from habit.

The same place defenders put their hands, tight to their body or behind their backs. Goalkeepers shouldn't be treated differently to any other player when they're out of their area.

Why would it be a red card though? Yellow at most. Especially as it was not deliberate.

Reina was decent today, wouldn't be surprised if he gave the defenders a real shouting to after the amount of times they played short back passes to him. Did well in the Silva situation, making time for the defence to get on the line

I laughed at how we had 3 or 4 defenders on the goal-line Covering every inch.

If it wasn't deliberate then it wasn't a foul, but I feel it was. It was a red card because it denied a clear goalscoring opportunity.Scott wrote:Why would it be a red card though? Yellow at most. Especially as it was not deliberate.

Martin Atkinson has refereed #LFC 3 times this season, against #MCFC, #EFC & #AFC, and sent off a player for the opposing team each time.
And people say we always have the ref on our side

That Silva chance seemed to last hours. The longest 16 seconds of my life.

Who was sent off against Arsenal??
Edit: Oh yeah, it was Frimpong wasn't it.

Frimpong. Quite rightly as well. Two of those red cards were spot on.Point wrote:moscowmadeit3 wrote:Martin Atkinson has refereed #LFC 3 times this season, against #MCFC, #EFC & #AFC, and sent off a player for the opposing team each time.

True. The others were just petty from the players themselves.samiz wrote:The Rodwell red card though

Coincidence. Frimpong and Balotelli were both rightfully sent off.
Rodwell one was a freak decision.
Martin Atkinson is actually one of our most hated referees.

You have changed your mind from the first day of the season, when Sunderland should have had a red card so make your bloody mind up. That's it anything against Liverpool you go for it, go fuck yourself you tit.
